BLUF: Swooping Hawks kill Imperial Knights and other big stompy Super Heavies.

I run a squad of 8-10 within my Aspect Host ( I run a pure Craftworld Warhost army). For the points, I've seen too many times opponents send an IK running up forward to unleash whatever shooting and try to get into assault. I also generally try to go second in my games. IK moves up (or any other killy super heavy) and then my Hawks get an 18" jump and throw one Haywire. Then, they assault. They have Plasma Grenades so they strike at Initiative and never really worry about Fear tests as the Aspect Host rule gives them a reroll. For insurance, I may shoot one other unit at the IK just to strip 1-2 hull points, but then the Hawks tend to kill it off on the first turn, at worst, the second turn. If my opponent keeps these kinds of point sinks back, that's fine with me as I can utlize the Hawks to shoot 24-30 shots at infantry and battle focus to stay at distance.

Warp Spiders are also really, really good as are Dark Reapers. I also like Fire Dragons, but they are a bit one dimensional for my taste. A lot will depend on what you may locally play against.

Craftworld host and the wraith host combo. 12" moving wraithguard (guaranteed run of 6 and battlefocus). Now if only i could find a way for them to get scout!

Get Eldrad and you can scout d3 units. I've done that exact army concept and it is viable.
