Adding a few more AdMech tanks to the list of things completed in 2016. Did a bit more work with pigments on the treads rather than the painted mud I usually do. I think the results are mixed here. The result is ok, but I think it could be a lot better. I do like that Krios Venator though. Fun little model. If all goes well I'll be able to finish some stuff for BGH before the end of the year and have a clean slate to start on knights and finishing out my Cron, IG, and Skitarii forces.

It's been a bit, but to prove I'm actually doing something, I've finally gotten the last of the BGH escorts painted up for the store. Still have to take the product shots but at least these are taken until I can get though. Enjoy!

A bit more progress on some custom sculpts. Did the dread as Imperial Fists since that seemed fitting and the Russ is what I think is a general Solar Aux scheme.I did a bit more with pigments on the tracks and base, again not really that enthusiastic at the result. The treads turned out ok and I think the technique could used a bit more exporation, but my pigment mix was a bit off in the end.

Just finished this up today and I'm much happier with the highlights. Decided to give a power weapon a shot. I'd have preferred to do a different type, but the holes in the middle of the sword kind of killed the possibility of something that looked more like a central glow. Hope you like it!

I'm assuming most of those are scaled-down and 3D printed from 40k/30k 28mm scale?

I played Epic 40k when it came out and remember some of those old models like the Thunderhawk and terminator squads, but you have a lot of very recent models that definitely weren't around for Epic.

@valhallan: I'd guess as much that they are cad prints. That's mostly the way models are done these days and 3d printing is relatively cheap for custom stuff.

So I'm going a bit slower now that I'm starting on full units. The first up was a Paladin Banner (dumb name). For these guys I'm noting the Seneschal with the black armor on the top of the carapace. I'd planned to do some errants next, but I need a break from some of the more fiddly armor bits on the paladins so it's Lancers instead. Hope you like them!

It's been a bit and life kinda got in the way of finishing these guys. This is the first of my two Lancer detachments for the Knight army. Probably the trickiest part of these was figuring out what to do with the shields but I'm pretty happy with the result over all. Next up is the last of the Blood Raven landers.

I think the shields look fantastic, especially coupled with the glow on the lance.

Thanks! I was hoping that the lance glow would help make the shields read more as energy than some odd blue thing. I think I'd have been more happy with them if the shields weren't filled in though.

Finished up the last Blood Raven lander yesterday to take a bit of a break from painting Knights while I was assembling the next formation. This is the last of the BR air power in a rather lengthy project that keeps getting interrupted by other things.

I'm still plugging away at my House Cadmus Knight list. This time around it's a custodian unit. I'm running a crusader and two castellan (the wardens). I'm now at the halfway point on the knight list at least as far as actual knights go. Hopefully won't run out of ideas for the shoulder insignia. So far each one is unique. Just three more units and I'll be ready for some of the smaller stuff. Enjoy!

@overlord: I'm hoping to do some xenos soon. I've been planning Nid and Eldar armies for years and I'm finally to the point of having most of my other armies finished up so I can start on them.

This literally the best painted Epic army I've ever seen.

Hah! maybe but I think these guys will be a touch small with the 8mm scale. Still have another 8 knights to go. 3 paladins, 1 baron, and 4 lancers. Gotta take a break from these now though.
