Meanwhile, only like 1/5 times you won't land a fulmination mobility power, even with only rolling 3 dice.
My Tactics would be dictated by what powers I get in Sanctic. But Fulmination is definitely good due to the two mobility powers. Between Magnetokinesis and Electrodisplacement, I could definitely get around the board. But they are each WC2, which means I would be throwing five dice at them to guarantee they go off, which eats up almost all of my dice.

Totally fair.

I'm just saying if you're taking Voldus to build around GOI you really might consider Draigo instead. He's 5 points + the cost of an HQ. Or, if you're playing a high point game, take both.

When it comes to gate + meatshield Draigo is superior to Voldus. I wouldn't use Voldus as a replacement Draigo, is all i'm saying.

Definitely a good point. At 3000 pts, I would probably bring Draigo and another Dreadknight for the Grey Knights.

So I am torn on the Dreadknight. I really like the Psycannon, but I am looking at the Incinerator with a bit of envy. I am point to magnetize my Dreadknight so he can have one or both options (which looks to be a bit of a pain but oh well). It looks like both options are quite good. I can handle hordes well enough with my Crimson Fists (Heavy 4 Barrage Mortars for the win), which is why I am still leaning Psycannon for now. Magnets to the rescue, I guess.

And I mean as an MC he can fire both.

I would also magnetize the Gatling Psilencer. A lot of tournament lists i've seen with 2 dreadknights have the setup:

Dreadknight 1: Psycannon, Incinerator
Dreadknight 2: Psycannon, Gatling Psilencer

To remove large blobs. Also instant death on T6 MC's isn't totally a waste, and entirely possible with 12 dice. Don't forget you get 12 force dice in overwatch when they charge you too.

Yes, but at the points level I have set, he wouldn't be able to afford both weapons. But I prefer the Incinerator over the Psilencer, since Str 4 AP - is kind of pointless, even with Misfortune and Force factored in.

Yeah - I wouldn't bring it in your list. But, if you're magnetizing, i would spend the time to magnetize that one too, if you've got the time. You may, some day, want to use it

Let me know how your GKs work out for you in your games!

Yeah, it looks like I will need to get some form of ball bearing to sit at the end of the servo arms. But I am going to magnetize both sides so he can have one or both weapons.

My primary opponent is a Dark Angels player (my older brother), so it will be interesting. He runs Lion's Blade with a butt load of Razorbacks.
