So i want to build Helbrute for myself in my oppinion best combo - power scourge + twin lascannon.

1. Credible threat at range - check.
2. Strong vs ALL type of targets in CC (horde/elite infantry/vehicles) - check. (where fist fails vs elite infantry/hordes)
3. Benefit from crazed at both range and CC -check

I'm almost 99,99% sure about it except for one thing.
I don't know exactly how power scourge works. I think it gives me total 7 attacks and since it's my only CC weapon i'm free to attack with all 7 using this profile , unless I would have fist in 2nd hand - where it's of course more profitable to swing with fist.

So what is my question ? Do I swing 7 times with power scourge or 4 attacks with base profile and 3 with scourge - of course that would be utterly stupid and wording for scourge is simple you can make additional 3 attacks. Not like you can only make max of "x" number of attacks with it.

Let me know please, because otherwise i will sadly go for full CC brute :(.

Edit : Same goes for Defiler - there are situations where i would prefer to just use all attacks for scourge - good example vs adeptus custodes with storm shields - scourge is just BETTER in all aspects than defiler claw.

Scourge says whenever the Helbrute attacks he gets 3 additional attacks with the weapon. It doesn't say the other attacks have to be with a different weapon. So yes, you could make all the attacks with the Scourge.

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Thanks a lot for confirmation !
Btw speaking of which if you can't or don't want to make blastmaster helbrute - then this one seems like counter to everything , a bit xpensive though at 165 points.

I run three helbrutes regularly, and while they've never been stellar, they're good medium brawlers able to hit a good range of targets. Obviously, they're best in melee, but they can be a bit difficult to get there (8W gets shredded surprisingly fast!). I built mine in 7th, so they're not exactly optimized, but I'll give my insight. In my experience, shooting is just something extra while they do while they waddle up the field to punch things. They're sort of terrible weapon platforms (outside of the las/missile or blastmaster)

Reaper Autocannon: It's cheap, but it's trash. Chaos got the crap end of the stick with reapers being 1 damage, as it completely negates their vehicle killing role. I (sort of) get why Terminator reapers are... smaller. But why all the vehicles also get stuck with these anemic weapons is really dumb. Twin heavy bolters are better in basically every way.

Plasma Cannon: HOT trash. Avoid this thing like the plague. With only d3 shots, it's basically a single plasmagun, and because it's heavy it overheats on a 1 or 2 when you move. You can occasionally frenzy to shoot and overheat again. If this thing was d6 shots, maybe it would be worth the 30 pts, but right now... naw. I only modeled mine because it looked cool. I should start using it as a blastmaster.

Multimelta: Probably the least disappointing of the 3 i use. It can be hit or miss, but when it does hit, it packs a nice punch. Mixes well with the melee arm when youre closing distance.
