And everytime they do, it seems that people just shift towards something new, and then all of the non-crazies get more of their personal freedoms curbed.

You may be comfortable with that. Try to reconcile though that across the pond, we aren't. It's why certain threads here can get a bit testy at times.

Nice, the good old "Murca has more freedoms than you" BS.
This is traditional baiting by those who frequently express the ideology of the US as being more free, or an exemplar of freedom, when compared with other countries whilst completely ignoring that you already live in a country where you readily and freely give up many freedoms without a whimper. It's just that certain ones seem to push buttons that make people proclaim "but freedom!"

Aside from what I have just said, I've no further intention to nibble any further at that anemic bait.
