Air Lauch > Swing kick will generally throw an enemy against the wall where they can be immobilized with a single web shot. You can actually tap them with the web after the launch and they'll stick as soon as they hit the wall. The Swing Kick in generally is pretty efficient, since it also sends guys flying off buildings.

Probably the most crazy OP thing in the game is the cooldown power you get from the repaired classic suit. In a lot of environments the web burst will knock most of the enemies against something and instantly web them up to almost one shot the whole group. The only real drawback from it is that it takes out enemies so quickly you tend to miss out on bonus objectives.

Also, of all the ways you level up, one of the best, but most hidden in the menus is powering up your gadgets. The ammo upgrades and the like for those things are easily some of the strongest things you can spend your hard earned Crime tokens on.

I’m absolutely loving this game!

The side quests are pretty good fun. Already nabbed the backpacks and landmarks, and done half the Kitties. Need to knock it on the head tonight though, as work tomorrow. But the weekend? The weekend I rinse it!

Also, combat gets a lot easier with experience!

Oh, also taken out all of Fisk Construction, and the Police Towers.

The pace of the game is pretty good. But I would recommend new players get a good few of the story missions out the way first. It’s a good source of XP and gadgets, but also serves as training. Taking down Fisk Construction is a lot easier once you know how to distract groups!

New patch. Downloading it now over my oh-so-slow internet connection.

Among other things -

NG+ mode, a new difficulty level, two new achievements, and support for the DLC that gets released next week.

I'm guessing that the new achievements are tied to the DLC.

The Heist DLC is live today. Unfortunately, you can't download it until your regional PSN Store updates. I'm not sure what time the NA PSN store usually updates, but the answer is apparently "Not Yet".

I've played the DLC. Some comments.

- The DLC adds a new series of storyline missions. The city is finally settling down after the events of the game. Felicia Hardy, aka The Black Cat, is back up to her old tricks. She's working with one of the Maggia families (i.e. the name of the organized crime families in Marvel's New York City). Spider-Man knows that this is a bit out of character for her, and is trying to find out why she's working with them, and what they have her looking for.
- Starting the DLC will take you out of your regular game. Backpacks and Landmarks are still available to interact with. But ALL of the other collectibles and events in the districts are gone. At any point during the DLC, you can open the DLC menu and switch back to the regular game. You'll return to your most recently saved Checkpoint when you do so. The DLC menu includes slots for the other two planned DLC, so it appears that they'll work the same way.
- The game adds three new items in the city's districts, and not all of the districts have all of the items. The first is Maggia Crime Events, which are pretty much just like regular crime events, except without the bonus conditions. Each of these rewards a Crime Token. So if you're running short of Crime Tokens (which seems unlikely to me), then you can get more in this fashion.
- The second is collecting old art pieces. You see, a while back before Felicia Hardy became The Black Cat, there was another Black Cat - Felicia's father. He's long dead, but a number of the works of art that he stole were never recovered. The police detective who worked the case has come up with an interesting theory about how the artwork was hidden, and has asked Spider-Man to help him track down the missing pieces of art. You don't receive any badges for doing so, but you do get bits of information about Felicia's father every time you find a piece of art.
- Finally, you remember Screwball? She's back. And to boost her internet viewers, she's set up several challenges for Spider-Man to accomplish. Her challenges provide an alternate source of Challenge Tokens, which is handy if (like me) you were having trouble maxing out your score on Taskmaster's Challenges in the main game.

Note that there is no source of Science tokens or Base tokens in the DLC.

There's a new enemy type in the game - a big guy with a mini-gun. *VERY* much a pain in the neck. If you attack him from the front, he'll smack you with the gun. If you dodge while he's shooting, then there's a good chance that you'll dodge *into* the line of fire (which can get frustrating). So far as I can tell, you CANNOT web them to walls or the ground (unlike the regular big guys). You can't steal their weapon. They're still vulnerable to automatic take downs just like regular big guys.

Also, I had some frustration with the combat targeting in this DLC. It's possible that it just wasn't as critical in the main game. But in the DLC, early on there's a mission where it's very important that you hit specific bad guys. And when they run through a group of their fellows, this is quite difficult. Additionally, when you're trying to fight around the guys with the mini-guns, the last thing you want to do is to accidentally have the game target one of them just as you attempt to launch another attack on a regular bad guy. Because if you do attack a guy with a mini-gun, then he'll hit you instead.

The content won't last for very long. You can play through the story in a few hours. If you got it as part of the Deluxe Edition (which cost an extra $20) of the game, then I think it's worth it, since there are still two content packs to go that will likely be similar to this one. If you buy it as part of the City pack ($25 for all three DLCs), then you're paying a little more. Whether it's worth it will be up to you. Buying the DLC by itself will set you back $10.

Overall, it was a lot of fun. Turf War is supposed to arrive next month, and Silver Lining will wrap up the announced DLC packs, and is expected to arrive in December.
