I'd like a Dragoons lance. Imp, Annihilator, Shogun and maybe a Hoplite.

If I remember correctly, the Clans did make use of captured Inner Sphere equipment for use by garrisons during the invasion. If you're doing a scenario you might run into a few Inner Sphere 'mechs used by the Clans, but in general during the invasion the Clans would strictly be using Clan equipment.

The Kickstarter miniatures should be the same quality as these...

I don't see a lack in production values. They're using a different material than GW, and a different design philosophy (one tha's not all bling). They look pretty good to me and apparently enough others to get to $800K for a Kickstarter whose original goal was only $30k.

Back on topic, the Kickstarter has passed $850K and has unlocked a new star/lance of 'mechs to be determined by the backers.

I can't wait for Star League mechs. Or for them to announce this lance/star's contents!

I imagine we won't see ComStar or any Star League 'mechs until the Kickstarter passes the $1 million mark (even though I would love to see an updated Spartan).

I'd imagine the first 'mechs they'd do for the Star League/ComStar would be the Crab and Black Knight for sure. The other two (or four ) are anybody's guess.

$1m SG revealed and they state that will be all for miniature unlocks. Kinda glad they’re restraining themselves there.

The twelve 'mechs for the $1 million stretch goal.

COM STAR COMMAND LEVEL II: King Crab, Highlander, Black Knight, Exterminator, Hermes and Mercury.

COM STAR BATTLE LEVEL II: Crockett, Flashman, Guillotine, Lancelot, Crab and Mongoose.

Is $97K in the next 26 days possible? We'll see. Personally I want to see what's been decided (if anything as of yet) for the $850K lance/star.

And that's when you remember that CTRL+F5 is your friend.

As another fantastic thank you for all you've done, you'll note that if you take either of the Level II Packs above as a reward, you're getting an extra miniature for free. Thank you!
Huh? Does that mean that the Lvl II's count as Lance Packs for the purposes of the rando-pack 'Mech?

You mean the Salvage Boxes? From the Clan Invasion Kickstarter FAQ:

What Minis are the Salvage Boxes drawn from?

They will be drawn from the Clan Invasion and the first 2-4 Clan Star Packs. Basically, the ones that are done or will be done in time for the First Wave of product.

tech readouts are continuing to be produced. TRO 3025 was phased out and replaced with TRO 3039 (that combined the 3025, 3026 TROs with some new stuf) and I'd not be suprised to see a reissue of it that uses the new art. I think we're currently up to TRO 3150.

You do know they released a Technical Readout: Succession Wars in mid 2017? There's also a Technical Readout: Clan Invasion is in the works.

The $950K stretch goal has been unlocked. All that remains right now is the $1 million dollar stretch goal with right around three and a half weeks to go.

Same. Along with the Nova Cat. Two of my favorite Clan 'Mechs, and they're in the same pack!

I also want to see the Turkina.

That's assuming they've even started on them! The Kickstarter has given the BattleTech art staff a bit of work to do.

It doesn't look like the Stalker is being redone, while the Warhawk is the Masakari that H.B.M.C. and Mattlov were discussing.

Yes. There's a fair number of 3050 'mechs which won't be updated via this Kickstarter (barring them being chosen by the backers via the $850K and $950K stretch goals).

So some of the designs they've shown look like the MWO redesigns. Are they using a number of those or no? Cause a number of the Clan Mechs look like they are using that redesign, but then on the Inner Sphere side, we have the Marauder which looks like a cross between an older design and the MWO design.

I've backed, cant resist me some mechs, tempted to back for much more.

No. MechWarrior Online is by Piranha Games and is not affiliated with Catalyst Game Labs. They look similar because they both started with the original FASA designs, although CGL is trying to stay closer to those original designs (when they can) compared to Piranha.

The Kickstarter has just passed ONE MILLION DOLLARS!

New stretch goals have already been posted for the next $500K. News from the BattleTech forum on the composition of the $850K and $950K lances/stars is “… we've already tallied the votes and the comments, and have started discussion.” so hopefully we'll know soon.

For those going heavily into this kickstarter, are the designs significantly better than the already updated versions of mechs in Mechwarrior Online? I recently found probably a hundred free mech designs from that game for free download on thingiverse and was curious as to the opinions on a comparison. Some of them have been there for a while but I only bothered to search for them on a lark because of this kickstarter. I don't actually have a 3d printer (yet... fingers crossed!) but it seems like a free goldmine with zero risk unlike kickstarters.

Your's sincerely, a kickstarter backer whose first and only real crowdfunding experience was unfortunately Robotech Tactics.

Spoiler:
ORIGINAL WOLVERINE

UPDATED WOLVERINE

MECHWARRIOR ONLINE WOLVERINE

As you can see, the updated art that CGL is using is closer to the original art than what MWO is using.

They have added a 'Backer and Social Media' stretch goal. If the Kickstarter reaches 6,000 backers, 1,000 Facebook Announcement shares and 500 Twitter Announcement retweets you'll be able to get the 'mechs from the Clan Invasion box for $25. There are currently 5,167 backers, 802 Facebook Announcement shares and 426 Twitter Announcement retweets.

No longer being produced-
Fire Falcon
Hellion
Kodiak
Whitworth
Bombardier
Howler (Baboon)
Solitaire
Pack Hunter
Scarybus
Firestarter Omni
Berserker
Hermes

I'll miss the Whitworth and Hermes. I would have liked to see the Fire Falcon, but as primarily a Jade Falcon 'mech I can understand it being cut for something that would be in more widespread use.

Will be produced-
Night Gyr
Linebacker
Behemoth (Stone Rhino)
Zeus
Stalker
Hellhound
Goshawk
Piranha
Cataphract
Bushwhacker
Axman
Nightstar

Scratching my head on the inclusion of the Night Gyr, Linebacker and Nightstar. Still no Ostroc or Ostsol

New lance-
Raven
Enforcer
Hunchback
Victor

The Raven seems a little too specialized to be included IMHO

New Lance-
Dragon
Thug
Cyclops
Spider

Why a Thug when we now have the Warhammer back?

And Sentinel.

I too am curious about the Linebacker and the Night Gyr, but it was not my decision.

Showing my limited experience with alot of the Mechs but I had never even heard of the Stone Rhino.

#JusticeForGhostBear

The Stone Rhino is the Clan name for the Behemoth.

It's also on the cover of TRO: 3055.

It's not in the most current editions.

The Stone Rhino artwork was one of the Unseen, produced out-of-house by Victor Musical Industries, Inc. so the art preceded FASA's decision to use it as the Stone Rhino.

After almost thirty years, it's time to give the Clans another motivation other than to be the first to reach Earth and become the IlClan.
