....and France throws the game away...most justifiable red card of the whole tournament. Madness.
Well done Wales - into the semis you go. Where the Boks await...

ehh, that tmo decision on the Wales try looked a tad questionable to me (Im not a Wales fan by any means. . .but really, the highlights ive seen thus far, the whole match was a bit of a gak show from an officiating perspective, red card aside)

France probably squeak it if not for the red card.
Still looking at an nz/sa final unless England and Wales improve, especially Wales.

Yes, well played England, set the tempo and played their own game. Never let the ABs get going.
Be hard pressed to pick anyone bar England to take the cup, and deservedly so.

If and its a big if ,that Wales manage to beat South Africa I think Wales are capable of upsetting the form guide just because its the old rivals and they know how to beat them. Plus the underdog mentality as seen to day is a very powerful force.

Boring perhaps but better than watching naïve Irish defending .
Ref Eng annihilating South Africa, cant see it myself but if England's South seas flavoured team hit their full potential they will be hard to beat.

Sad to see Wales go out as it would have been fun to dump them out of the tournament ourselves in the final, but yea that game was boring with a lot of rubbish kicking! Fair play to SA though, they bashed their opponents into submission like they were playing a game of Blood Bowl

True, would of only been polite to give you a chance to knock Wales out as they did to England in the last one lol. You will just have to wait.

Complacency is my main concern now, however these are England rugby players not England footballers, massive egos are generally not part of the construction.
In any event South Africa got where they are on merit. They are no underdogs.

NZ v Eng was the grand final, anyone saying otherwise is kidding themselves. It may be close but I don't reckon SA are ahead short of an early penalty prior to them being put down

Oh god I hope England don't win.
Nothing against the team or the country like. But the media.
2003? Felt like months before people started shutting up about it.
Yes, it's an achievement, and a worthy one. But how long do balding, tubby, middle aged men on the teevee need to keep mentioning it?

Eng really kicked it into gear against NZ. Nothing really prepared me for that based on their games in the tournament so far. The final should be great- I expect SA to come out with even more smash and crash but I think Eng should have the edge.

Is it a Richard move for me, someone uncaring of the Rugby, to not offer to cover an as yet unidentified colleague’s Saturday shift?
It involves four hours of phone calls. And giving up most of my Saturday. But to them could mean more?

I would more look at it as being a very good friend & colleague to offer. I still have vivid memories of the 2003 win, so yes, it can mean a lot.

Nope, but I do get a day in lieu, and I've burned through all my annual leave for the year, with nary a Bank Holiday in sight until Chrimbo.
Well I went for it, and made a colleague happy. Which is nice.

Well done SA. I think that may be the biggest winning margin in a World Cup final?
I thought it would be a close game, but SA really ran away with it in the end.

Well played South Africa, I muss admit that I thought England would pull it together and South Africa would lose momentum in the second half but it didn't happen and we got some great end game tries instead.

Looks like Gatland was right,England peaked to soon plus a large amount of English arrogance telling us all how they were going to easily win.
Well done South Africa . Let’s wait for the Eddie Jones excuses

Better to be disappointed with your friends and family than in an office fielding phone calls!
Shift was actually quite fun. I get fraud and scam calls as a priority, and it’s very satisfying to not only set a case up properly, but offer solid information to peeps who are understandably panicking and pissed off.
Dulcet Scottish Tones help with that!
