In an effort to tap into even more Nostalgia, GW will announce that 10th edition marks the beginning of a rescaling of the game to full 28mm standard scale.

Regular Marines will be retired as they don't fit the new scaling; Primaris will remain as they are at the intended scale height for 28mm standard scale. Other armies will get updated slowly through 10th edition

73-To open up the game to more community involvement GW will announce the Open Warhammer License (OWL) allowing indy creators to put out rules, supplements and even models as long as stay within some simple guidelines...



The GW community will hail the OWL as the greatest move GW has ever made and flock to create materials using the OWL.

You want an pointing hand arm on the infantry? 3-12 pts

Models will need at least 2 limbs, a torso, a head, and a base to be considered battleready. Mix and matching is allowed.

In a historic partnership with Mavis Beacon, Games Workshop will be teaching us how to play Warhammer 40,000 in a brand new show for Warhammer+.

10th edition isn't going to actually happen. There will be a series of Era of Apocalypse books wrapping up the various plotlines, and GW will be closing down 40K.

2024 will see the release of Warhammer 50,000: Age of the Emperor, a new game with a new setting, placing updated 40K faction in a rank-and-flank, Napoleonics style sci-fi ruleset.
