I think they're ok, they fill a gap but playing as IF I really want models equipped with close combat weapons and shields.

With the revised Mk III models out, there must be a Breacher upgrade kit in the works. The question is how long it will take.

Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

I enough people bring it up they might fast track a get-you-by resin kit like they did Mk6 Despoiler arms. Wouldn't hold my breath for plastic.

Well we know to expect a Melee upgrade pack in the coming months.

I can see a Breacher Kit being released alongside. Not a rumour, purely speculation.

What do we actually expect in the melee kit?

You probably have some space left over on a sprue after 5 bolt pistols and chainswords.

2 handed chainsword, maybe some non-sword power weapons? And pistols - they already have volkite and hand flamers designed up from the skyhunter sprue, it wouldn't be that hard to add one or two of those as well.

Yes, those World Eaters are really nice. I also like the SoH, Iron Warriors and Dark Angels:

In fact I like these so much I am tempted to do an assault-oriented DA army.

They need to have a pistol/melee sprue.

Chain-weapons
Power weapons
Bolt, Inferno, Archeotech, etc pistols

Both right/left handed to easily dual wield.

It's not hard to do, just they didn't want to do it initially...a la Assaults

HH2 kit MO has traditionally been "as stingy sprue counts as possible", so that was never going to happen. The upcoming upgrade sprue will also probably just be a single sprue, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for "all pistols for both hands" becoming a thing. Pistols are easy enough to convert to the other hand anyway, takes just one cut with a JLC

Darn they really look good. Might really need 10-20 of them.

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

Bit late to the party, but I’ve now built my first box of 10.

They’re pretty cool! Fairly dynamic poses whilst remaining base stable. The kit is lovely to work with, and the arms are interchangeable.

I will be getting more, but I think I’ll hold off until we’ve seen the Assault Weapons pack.

I have built my first unit of them as well. Mine have been modified as they will be a jump-packing Space Wolf Command Squad (2 of them have volkite chargers, which looks quite cool). They go together well, and are much easier to customise than the standard infantry. I am not entirely sold on the crouching poses, which tend to make them look smaller than the other models, but it's a small point.

I love the new Assault Squad kit. The old FW resin jump packs fit perfectly as replacements and everything

Even the odd reinforced breastplate has grown on me, although I must admit not being a fan of it at first
