3D printers and USB sticks are worst enemies. My resin printer stopped recognising the USB stick that came with it (PC would still read it fine) so I swapped to another one which works 90% of the time but still occasionally fails (and it's a good Patriot USB that works reasonably fast for a USB 2 drive on my PC). I have to reformat it before each new file is loaded on otherwise it will stop recognising the files after a few prints.

The filament printer at work occasionally won't recognise the USB sticks, and we've tried multiple sticks that work fine in a regular PC. So sometimes you'll read "your USB stick is bad" but I think it's more likely that the USB is fine and the printer is bad and it happens to like one stick more than another. Try reformatting before you throw it out though.

My newest printer (a filament one at home) it seems they finally figured out how crap the cheap USB interfaces are and included 3 USB ports and onboard memory (so the files copy to the printer, meaning if the USB screws up mid-print it doesn't matter).

Hopefully that becomes the norm on resin printers too.

Working on scaling some Red Nebular space orcs to 2nd ed. models. Printed at 80% and it seems to be a good fit.



Also working on some oldhamer styled not-Bretonnian knights from a creator named Ilhadiel. He has a bunch of free models like this. Printed at 100% it's slightly smaller than a 5th ed Bretonnian knight. Not sure if I'll scale up future ones, but overall I like the look.

Definitely need to scale up Ilhadiel's knights a bit - maybe even just the horses, as long as the knights can still sit on them. I do love his stuff - definitely old school. I had gotten Lost Kingdom Miniatures knight stls and they are pretty spectacular.

Adventures in scaling continues. I think I'll go for 105% for the horse, arms, and torso. The heads and shields I think I'll keep at 100%.

And scaling some Red Nebular Space Goblins to 90s GW gretchin seems to work best at 90%

Trying to figure out whether to get the Bambu Labs A1 mini or the full size A1. I have an Ender 3 that I don't love and like the idea of ease of use that Bambu is touted as having. A1 mini has a 7" cube build volume for $250 and the A1 has a 10" build volume for $400.

For what is worth, I got an A1 and I'm really happy with my purchase, but I'm not sure if you can buy it at the moment, as they issued a retrieval order because of an issue with the hotbed cable.
