Inquisitor could be mined for stuff for Kill Team, at least. Most people who like to play the game nowadays do so with 28mm minis anyway, afaik, it's just a lot more practical. Sisters of Battle and the Inquisitorial agents stuff also provides minis for it so there's some reasonable double dipping to be done. There's already been like two full-on RPGs so I have no idea what the studio's appetite for bringing it back is. Reprinting the original rule book in an MTO isn't farfetched, though.
BFG could be semi-returned for the Heresy games with a campaign system for solar system assaults leading into boarding actions and orbital deployments of mass forces. It's the perfect material for smaller amount of sprues used to build several forces.
I'd hope for LI to copy the transition of the original Space Marine etc and bring in orks, eldar and so on.

I for one would be interested in a For Display range of 54mm or whatever models.
We can somewhat point to the ongoing JoyToy releases to show there is some form of market there. Whether that extends to statue kits you paint yourself, I don’t and can’t know.
But I’d love GW to give it a try. Just as Inquisitor did, it might allow design space for something pretty special.
I mean, Inquisitor modernised its namesakes, introduced Blood Cultists, some unique never seen since Xenos etc.
And I think we can point to limited release single plastic models as a sign the cost of design and mould making is considerably more trivial for modern GW than past GW.
Of course, here my proposition would be entirely stripping out the Gaming Purpose side of things. And that’s where we definitely head squarely into the unknown, and it’s only settlement of Anecdote.

Forge World used to make busts and "display-scale" models so it's not like there's no precedent. The Primarch models basically are 54mm display models that can be removed from the diorama and incidentally used for gaming, anyway.

Primarchs are to scale with the rest of the range, they are not 54mm scale. Yes, they are big guys, but many of their parts ground them in the regular scale, like some of their equipment and elements of their display bases. They look very, very different from actual Inquisitor-scale purpose-made models.

If there was a successful space game BFG would be relaunched. GW has learnt not to leave spaces for competitors to grow.

Dropfleet Commander, Halo: Fleet Command, Armada and X-wing don't count? Dropfleet was even written by Andy Chambers I think BFG has a decent chance of coming back, it's incredibly influential (aspects of it are still being referenced and ship designs haven't meaningfully changed since it came out) and the video games are decently popular I'd love for Inquisitor to come back with modular plastic minis (Releasing a game that encourages you to make your own characters but making the only models in that scale with wildly different pieces/connection points/scales was certainly a choice) but it was just too weird a game to get traction. they tried to make "Narrative Wargame" a thing but it became a skirmish wargame with no balancing or an RPG with no rules for anything besides fighting, and either way put far too much pressure on the GM Space Hulk's probably coming back at some point, it always sells like gangbusters and they only need a handful of models (which are usable in 40k too) each side. seems like a no brainer

Yeah, it's about time for Space Hulk to return. It was last out in 2014(?)
Honestly I was surprised it didn't return a few years ago when GW introduced Boarding Action....

With how long it took GW to put a Kill Team in Kill Team, I am not surprised.

We might also hope for a more varied Space Hulk.
Same base game as before, because why mess with perfection. But the odd expansion set, akin to Kill Team where you get models and tokens for them, for others that might be braving a Space Hulk in search of Stuff.
Or in the case of Orks, stuff and a really good fight, Automatically Appended Next Post: Heck, of all the species it’s really Orks who spend the most mucking around on Space Hulks. Just because the Meks have done it up and they’re on the way to a Waaagh!, doesn’t mean it’s fully explored or pacified.
So give us some Big ‘Ard Nobz off on a jolly boys outing to find whatever needs it head kicked in.

Orks are the ones who most often seek them out, but I'd argue they are not the principal occupants, as they tend to use them as a means of transport to a destination rather than as a destination in themselves - after which they either perish in the battle they reach, or succeed, at which point they'll turn to upgrading their hulk into a functional vessel.

Honestly orks could replace either the genestealers as the residents or the terminators as the boarders in spacehulk.
Or both at the same time.

They’re noted for using Traktor Tek to hold them in place whilst as many Orks swarm aboard, and give the Meks a chance to get the Powefields going and rig up at least some way of steering the Hulk.
Sending mobs off to explore further not only lets them secure ever more of it, but helps ensure the Boyz don’t spend too much time duffing each other up. And, as they’ll be aboard until it drops back into realspace? That could be years, decades maybe even centuries of scrapping. In both senses of the word. Automatically Appended Next Post: There’s also no guarantee all the Orks will make it off for an attack once it does drop back into realspace. So for some? It can be even longer aboard. With loads and loads of stuff to loot and make new toys with.

When I saw they were making a boxed game called Tyranid Attack I was kind of hoping it was going to be scouts infiltrating a Tyranid Hive Ship again, but alas no.
If they bring Hulk back I doubt they'll change the factions, the old formula is a proven money maker. I wouldn't rule out variant rules in WD though, and Orks, Kin and Genestealer Cults all have good reasons to be there. Hell, we have actual Imperial Navy Breaches now

Arguably, a Hulk confirmed to have an active Cult aboard could be a greater threat than just Purestrains.
If the 4th Gen can make planet fall? Off they go into the general populace, and provided even a single Purestrain joins them? The Cult is off on a stronger initial footing.
Definitely want to see Space Hulk and expansions is what I’m saying.
