Hey all, our local GW is running an 8th Edition League and I'm up against Tomb Kings this week(whooped Beastmen at 1250 points last week). I have very limited experience with TKs and I'm thinking of this:
Lord: Sorcerer Lord(Lore of Heavens)
Level 4, Power Scroll, Talisman of Preservation, Enchanted Shield, Biting Blade

I'd go mark of TZ on your sorc lord. Infernal gateway is essentially cast on a 10 for you and pandemonium really destroys their army once the heirophant is down.
plus, most of the spells for tzeentch are flaming so if you happen to hit a character they take double wounds because their all flamable.
Lore of death works fantastic for assassinating the pesky heirophant, just pay attention to his casting order then nuke him, with the 0,2 or 5 spell.

Well, I was thinking Heavens to nuke his Catapults/Casket.
Death is nice for assassinations, but it seems kind of short ranged.

Either could work, but remember he can just raise the catapult crew.
You are the superior melee combatant, so close to melee fast. You have a great advantage in dispeling, but he doesn't use power dice. This means RiP spells aren't going to last long.
He's likely to just keep casting the same spell over and over until it works. You are unlikely to stop everything, so just try to efficient with your dispel dice. His casting order is fixed, so you should be able to predict it.
If you take out the Heirophant everything goes to hell real quick. He'll likely be running a High Priest, and losing it will gut his magic phase on top of the crumbling. He knows this, so he's unlikely to keep it anywhere you can get within death magic range.

He can't raise them if they are all dead. The powered up comet will start with S6 and will wound the catapult on 5s. I only need 3 wounds.
Any ideas about the list? Automatically Appended Next Post: Thoughts on replacing the Halberd Warriors with a Hellcannon? His characters count as wizards if the Hellcannon causes all wizards to miscast right?
