Have a question about my SM Chaplain. I run a chaplain in Terminator Armor with my Assault Termies and was wondering if it is worth the 10 points to give him digital weapons? Also was planning on running Chief Librarian Tigurius and was wondering if anybody had an opinion/experience with him. Any help is appreciated.

A reroll to wound can be golden, especially on a 4+ to wound roll. I would *love* some ability to take wound rerolls (the number of 2+s I fail....sigh)

Tigurius is a bit of a beast, but like most libbys in the current SM book is not quite as good as used to be, and there are better options for HQs to fit "most" armies.

The Chaplain already rerolls his hits, rerolling wounds as well would be wicked. I've never used digital weapons myself, but this could make the Chaplain into a beast.

Tigurius would be worth his points cost if Librarian powers were more useful, but as it is, in my opinion, only two or three are really useful, and they're all situational enough that you'll rarely if ever get a chance to use three in a turn.

I'd say just pay the 150 for a regular Epistolary.

As a chaplain/Death company running BA, the re-rolling hits and wounds is absolutely MONSTROUS.

I know it doesn't affect the whole squad, which is why I'd be slightly hesitant, but if you have the spare points, go for it.

Digital weapons only allow a single failed "to wound" roll to be re-rolled, not the whole lot, a bit much for a 10pts piece of wargear and works much better on a Captains Relic Blade as at least then your re-rolling a str 6 weapon and not a chaplains str 4.

To the OP, if you have 10pts that you simply can't put anywhere then yes, take digital weapons on the chaplain, otherwise, don't, put that 10pts elsewhere. Personally I think its wasted on a generic chaplain as their stats are not much better than standard marines and he uses his ability to re-roll hits when charged as his advantage. Wheras the Captain and Chapter Master has increased stats that make him much better for shooting and attacks so the re-roll is better suited for him.

I would say yes.
