I have done multiple searches but only come up with wired ps2 controllers to 360. Is there anything that will allow me to use my PS3 controller on the 360 or a 360 controller with a layout and look of a PS3 controller that is wireless?

I can't stand the chunky feel of the 360 controllers

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I hadn't thought of this. Finally, one reason why I might get a 360!

I think your the frist person I've met that prefers the PS3 controler to the Xbox one.

With that said, its probably possible, especially if you can find an adaptor that would make the PS controller into a USB connection. Youd be missing out on the X button, so you wont be able to get out of games without powering down the console or power the console on remotely.

How would I be missing the "X" button the PS3 has a home button right where the xbox has its home button. Is there an company that makes usb adapters or just xbox controllers that are designed like the PS3 controllers?

Are you saying that you, too, prefer the PS3 controller, or that you mostly know XBOX fans?

In any case, I guess I'd be the second!

I also prefer the PS controller (any of them really, they're all the same for the most part, aside from the new triggers, which I don't like...)

I'm sure there's a way to do it. Search youtube.

The Xbox 360 controller is the best controller I've ever used on anything except for my Saitek Flight System.

Either way though, i guaruntee you that the home button on your PS3 controller will not work as a substitue for the X button on the 360, simply because that would be way to simple and un-Microsofty

Seriously dude? Did you even look? Try "XCM crossfire converter" on Google. Simple dude.

If it's a fighting game, I want to use the PS controller layout or an arcade stick. I prefer the controller.

If it's a driving game, any old analog controller will do if not a steering kit.

FPS, mouse and 'board. I understand that FPS titles are released on consoles because they are popular gaming systems, but I have the advantage of owning multiple platforms and don't have to settle for the inefficiency.

I prefer FPS s on a console. That way I can still use my computer

Consoles are more reliable too, IMO. You don't have to install anything...

Graphics are much better on a PC though, PC monitors are much higher resalution. My monitor has been 1080P for years.

I predict that if Microsoft were to give the 360 mouse and keyboard support they would win console gameing once and for all.

..That's a brilliant way to circumvent the XBOX controller chip that detects 3rd party controllers. That'll be your answer.

Oops. I watched most of the video, seemed like what he was looking for Oh well.

I lost you? Okay. It's a hassle to pause the game on a computer because it slows down everything else. If I play it on my PS3, I can use my computer that's itting on the other side of the room :3

But that's just a matter of convenience. In pure gaming terms, the keyboard/mouse is superior. (edit: superior = my preference, of course)

Actually it's the mouse that really makes the FPS... but for RTS and microsims, yes, the keyboard makes a lot of difference too.

The "XCM crossfire converter" is great, but can you get a USB or something the controller can be wireless? Or is there no way around having to pull it in?

Lost in my disturbing mind...

I dont think you can use controllers from different platforms at ALL cuz : The companies are completly different (Sony=PS3,Microsoft=360)
And they be COMPLETLY DIFFERENT PLATFORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!360 IS BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. 360 controllers are awful >.>

I'd be interested to know too. They share the same general "map" of buttons...

Well I guess the controller preference boils down to which console you had first. I've been Xbox for as long as I can remember, hence my preference of their ergonomic, "chunky" controllers. Samus and Squig Herder, I guess you two had PS1 or PS2 as a first console?

There is a street fighter pro that uses a PS3 pad for tournaments on the 360. I think it boils down to basically ripping out everything from one pad and putting it into another. So yeah, good luck with that...

I cant use xbox controllers mostly because they are weirdly off balence and have strange sticks, my first console was a gameboy and i rarely used other consoles the ps3 came onto the scene.
