Hello all,

Just back from Mexico and have noticed a mistake in our "Geeking Out at AdeptiCon" Tour pricing. I posted the single occupancy price instead of the double occupancy. Sorry here is the new pricing:

Pricing: $575.00 per person based on double occupancy or $870.00 based on single occupancy

Please book soon as I am just about to release the tour on the AdeptiCon site and it is sure to get sold out quickly...

Geek Nation Tours and AdeptiCon bring you even more goodness. We will be giving away 10 weekend badges! Yes 10! You will still have to register for your seminars and tournis but this is a definite cost savings with the swag bag included too. We will do the draw for this at the end of September and 10 lucky tour participants will get this thrown in as well...

This is in addition to all the great things already offered on the tour: Our exclusive “Adepticon Welcome” dinner, The “AdeptiCon Mixer” post tournament meal, hotel stay, transfers to and from the airport, and most important Guaranteed pre-public registration.

Basically paying more to guarentee you spot since you get to sign up before it goes public? I can't see any other reason personally. But kudo's to them for making extra money

Hello All,

I thought the price of $575.00 CAD is quite reasonable. Please also remember that vs the USD it is a further 5% off...

Keep in mind that the tour includes:

2 meals (the "Welcome to Adepticon" dinner right in the Westin. During the meal we will have presentations and Q&As from a "secret" Black Library author, Jeff and the Crew from Podhammer (yes I know square basers) and our exclusive "AdeptiCon Survivor Tactics" presentation from the Adepticon staff.
Also include is the meal and venue costs to the end meal "AdeptiCon Mixer" on Sunday night. A great time to meet the staff, hang out and play either poker or boardgames.

[so this helps with your meals that have been mentioned on this thread. Meals are expensive - especially good ones]

Hotel nights from the 31st of March to 4th of April (if you need less nights let me know - I might even be able to arrange luggage storage) all taxes and fees included

[you will be staying right in the Westin so you roll out of bed and into a game/seminar]

Transfers to and from the airport

[this can be crazy expensive and time consuming]

Guaranteed registration for tournis and seminars if booked prior to September 31st. This means you get in and are able to pre-book all your games and seminars before the general public. Get what you want when you want it.

[this is something that is priceless that no one else offers - please keep this in mind]

Further today I just announced on Podhammer [Yes the square basers] that Adepticon and Geek Nation Tours will be giving away 10 weekend badges. You will still have to register for your seminars and tournis but this is a definite cost savings with the swag bag included too. We will do the draw for this at the end of September and 10 lucky tour participants will get this thrown in as well...

Need travel help? I can add that too. Need to come by Amtrak? Greyhound? Air? Need extra hotel space? Need the non-geek spouse to go to a movie or museum when you geek out? We do that too...

Unless the room rate is over $200 a night still not seeing any real deal. Westin offers a shuttle to the airport if memory serves correctly and unless the meals cover all booze it looks like a major loss of money. If it included airfare it might be worth it but $870 SO is pretty high.

That is incorrect. The Westin Lombard does not offer an airport shuttle.

And it's $244 a night on Expedia so maybe it's a little bit of savings.
