does anyone know the name of the website that posts unofficail 40k novels done by fans i was on it ages ago but cant remeber it

ive heard there is a cool novel on there about 5000 years after current events in the 40k universe where the tau are becoming ever stronger and have stolen gene seed and incorperated it into their warriors the only person that stand against them is marneus calgar now the warmaster but he is entoumed in dreadnought armour

And in answer to the nay-sayers: the failings of the mindless hordes that write a lot of fanfiction should not detract from the achievements of those authors that take pride in their work. The likes of Tiberium Wars or Surely You Can't Be Serious: The life and times of a rounding error are as good or better than canon, although sometimes quite different in tone.

Could you provide some specific examples of why you feel it is flawed, instead of just saying "it sucks" with more syllables?

Ya, actually its not that bad. What surprised me is that it is an actual friggin book! It's like 4 webpages.

I think that I-bounty-hunt-the-elderly saw the poem and thought that was the whole thing. I was ready to flame this as well until I scrolled down to where the italics end. For fan fiction it is pretty good. I know I've seen worse.

No, I read (well, skimmed) a fair bit, and I thought it was pretty hilarious, wish-fulfillment, makes no sense, cookie-cutter character nonsense.

Maybe that's the majority of what you read, but that doesn't mean it's all that's out there.

Anyways, since most fanfiction writers are people with more ambition than writing ability, the old axiom of 90% of everything is crap certainly holds true. Combine that with the low barrier of entry (word processor and internet connection) and the fact that people love sharing awful things for amusement, and it's easy to see why where the perception it's all bad comes from.

It's like the stereotype of gamers being all fatties with bad BO, who hang out in game stores all day and wear old heavy metal Ts three sizes too small.

On that note... No I will not read "Calgar VS. Tau: THE REVENGE!" because it sounds........... bad? Even if it is written well, the premise sounds terirble.
