So to boost my ravenwing army from 1500 points to 2000 i was thinking of adding a second predator anihilator and 2 techmarines with all the trimmings. My question is should the techmarines have the standard chapter symbol on the blank shoulder pad or a ravenwing company symbol? Now looking at the chapter organisation in the DA codex the only place that Techmarines are mentioned is in the armoury (and i'm assuming that is standard for a codex chapter as well) so that says chapter symbol, however, all the landspeeders, bikes and attack bikes are listed in the second company (the Ravenwing)

And before you say that since they are maintaining predators go with a chapter symbol I kinda went and shot myself in the foot on that front by using this as my predator model

I would try and have one of each to show their loyalty to both. It is a tad complicated and to be hnoest I'm not sure if they class themselves as the mechanicum or marines first.

IIRC the Techmarines never become part of the 'inner circle'. As the RW is actively involved into things the DA may not want to share with
anyone who has contacts to external powers ( ad mech ), These techmarines should stay part of the armoury and therefore chapter symbol
instead of RW or DW.

Firstly, that's a badass predator. Secondly, I agree with both these guys, show both.

Son can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes...

Go for both, but I view the conundrum as whether to put the Mechanicus symbol on the left shoulder or the right... GW sticks them on the right, I stick them on the left: Simply because I think the oath of a Techmarine supersedes the Chapter: Hence why Chapters are distrustful of Techmarines.
