Anyone know where one of these gems could be found? Been trying to find one without any luck.

I see them come up on ebay every once in a while, but they go for a lot of money for unopened sets.

I too would say Ebay is your best bet...the box set was discontinued what, almost three years ago now? If you have a local game store or hobby store that doesn't see a lot of turn over and keeps old stock around, they might still have one, but that's a long shot.

What exactly are you looking to get out of the starter set? Just curious.

Well I was looking to maybe get the ships for a deal and maybe the counters, as I'm horrible with my own renditions.

I know that the dice and the ships are available online for various deals. But it was the complete package that has a certain allure.

I've sent out emails to LGS in my state and one told me that he was told they are going to re-release the game, so as far as the rumors go...fingers crossed.

Ooh! My fingers are crossed too then! I would love for them to re-release a starter set for BFG.

I would be excited to see a re-release too! As long as they don't do it the way they did Space Hulk, that is. Also, I've heard that the newest edition of Blood Bowl was kind of half-baked, so hopefully they will give more attention to BFG.

It appears that BFG Armada is no longer available.

Armada has been out for a while, at least half a year IIRC.

Sorry! I would have posted it if I thought it wasn't common knowledge, but when I started playing BFG around April or May I figured it had been that way a while.

I wish I had seen this a while back. My girlfriend and I got on a Battlestar Galactica kick last month and I ended up dragging my BFG starter box out of the attic where it's been collecting dust for... at least five years, I think.

I *JUST* brought the cruisers inside from priming them this evening. I've assembled the models (and managed to break three flying bases already :( ), so it certainly doesn't have that new box smell any more. But if you're still interested, send me a PM.
