just checking since there isn't a sticky at the top of the page. i've noticed a lot more "battle reports" posted that are simply links to other sites with no real content. personally, i think if you're posting in that forum, you should actually post a battle report there and not simply just a link to drum up visits elsewhere.

They could also simply copy and paste a battle report to a thread here...I mean are you looking to have some kind of journalistic integrity of some kind here or wanting to avoid other websites/blogs getting some action?

i agree; i'd totally be fine with a copy paste job or even a summary with a few pics... as long as they throw me a bone, i'd be satisfied. i just don't think its a "battle report" if all you're doing is posting a url in the forum.

Personally it doesnt bother me too much, crap gets buried quickly and good stuff gets comments, encouraging people to eventually post here in the future for ease of discussion. If the links dont link to a readable battle report then use the moderator alert button and a mod will lock, move or delete the thread.

I agree, as this is quite common. Consider something similar to that of what MGS wrote for Painting & Modelling, I think the same applies to bat-reps.

Some of them are links to video battle reports too - these are just fine IMO...
