My wife bought me a Ork Stompa and when it arrived I started to have ideas on what to do with it.

I read up on the Stompa and when I saw that the Stompa can carry 20 Orks I thought that the ONE exit was NOT orky idea:, so I cut the front out and build a troopbay.

For the door I started with a ramp but I had trouble with the way it will open and close, THEN I thought about how the Stompa will move with the ramp open, That is when I decided to go with a barn door style doors.

For the head, I really wanted something different, I detailed the interior and instead of having the spotter up in a crow's nest, I put him on top of the head, standing on a rusted metal platform, the Ork pilot was only modified so it looked like it was pressing buttons, the consoles have painted on details.

I want the arms to be removable when stored, so I'm going to put a tube inside the main body and have plastic rods on the arms, I do not have any magnets strong enough and I don't really want to spend the money on Earth Magnets.

update, have not done much sofar, job, wife, housework have taken up all my time.
I'm still working on the arms andas soon as I have some pics I'll post them, Doors are coming along nicely, I'm putting ork details on them so they look like a mouth.

Hope everyone has been enjoying the pics sofar, any feedback is appreciated.

So your doors will hinge at the sides? I'd have thought hinging at the bottom would be more sensible, so that they also act as ramps when lowered, like giant Boarding Planks.

Regardless, you're actually hinging them? Make the hinges very secure - children of all ages will want to open and close them, and anything fragile will quickly break, alas...

Yea I started with a boarding plank then I thought " if this thing is moving when the ramp is lowered then will that trip the stompa?" and I could imagine the ramp acting like someone stepping on their shoelace and triping up the pilot.
Also I thought what would be more fun for the orks, running down a ramp or jumping off a moving stompa and watching your slower buddies get stomped on. hence the hinged doors.

As for being secure the only way they could be busted is for someone to push down on the door when open.

A cool thing that you cannot get in the pic's is that the ork pilot can really see out of the viewport, did not plan it that way but cool none the less .
