Numberless Necron Warrior

Hi all!

Just putting up my pictures of my WIP Necron army.

I have tried to implement some different idea's with my "Crons" In particular with my nightbringer being mounted on a Trygon base, surrounded by a multitude of Scarabs as well as painting the Gauss rods green, instead of just sticking them in.

Sorry for the poor picture quality in parts.

More to come.

Loving the look of them so far but might I suggest you try and take some better pictures. There are a few that the flash just ruins.

An easy way I've found is a bright, well lit room without flash turned on. But there are a couple of guides on here floating around on better ways.

Apart from that keep up the awesame work. Love the Nightbringer ^.^

Yeah, it a shame about the grainy pics.

But even so they all look good. Personal Favourite is the Stone effect on the monolith.

Only slight criticism is the Necron Lord. Its well painted but it doesn't have anything that makes it stand out.

It silver and green like everything else. I know it got the big base, but perhaps some gold just bring it up a bit.

Bling is acceptable on lords.

Just because I don't care, Doesn't mean I don't understand!

I'm both orderly and rational. I value control, information, and order. I love structure and hierarchy, and will actively use whatever power or knowledge I have to maintain it. At best, I am lawful and insightful; at worst, I am bureaucratic and tyrannical.

They kind of skim over the ground.

Just a quick update of what I have been working on ...

I have done some Terminator inspired Necron warriors missing there lower half. These count as scarab stands and I find in game that the concept works really well.

Hope you enjoy and more soon.

I don't envy your large block of Warriors, having already painted up what looks like a very similar force. At least they're easier to paint than they are to clean and assemble.

I really like the way you've expanded on the idea of the Scarabs on Nightbringer's base. Great work! I also like the Lord's base, is that just sprue bits built up with sand? Looks really good if it is.

One small criticism on the paint: painting the gauss rods can be a good idea, but they seem really dark, which kind of makes it look like they forgot to turn them on. This may just be the lighting of the pics though, it's hard to tell. I do like the spiraling energy pattern on the Lord's staff though. Will all the gauss be painted like that?

edit: Now that I look closer at the last pick of the Warriors gathered in front of the Monolith the gauss rods don't seem so dark. I guess it was just the lighting in the previous pics.

Thanks for the comment. Yep all the gauss rods will be painted like the lord, this is a very time consumimg tecniuque so I am saving that for the very last part. Needless to say doing it on approximately 70 Warriors will be quite fun! I am also saving the "eyes" on the Scarabs for this stage too
