So my little sister is thinking about picking up the hobby and she wants to play Eldar. (And since I'm such a nerd I had the book sitting around )
And we proxxied up an army for her to get the feel of playing a game. Simple rules and how models move and all that. And we came upon a question we had no idea how to answer.

- If I hit a Fire Prism and make it so it "can't more or shoot" can it still link with another Prism?
Oh and also
- If a Dire Avenger squad blade storms the farseer can shoot twice with their pistol instead of once right? I said yes, but we weren't sure.

"There are no wolves on Fenris" Sindermann had said
"Except, of course... for the wolves, ser?" he had replied.
"Exactly, Kasper,"

As to your first question, I would probably have to go with no...

It says that the prism gives up it's chance to shoot to be able to link with another prism, since it can not fire, it doesn't have a chance to fire.

Now for the second! It says the Exarch and his squad (which includes the seer) may fire one more time with their shuri weapons. So yes, he can fire it twice.

"Do not practice until you get it right, practice until you can not get it wrong." In other words, stop effing up.

IF you have a look at the FAQ on the GW website it covers this - no you may not link the fire prism, from memory.

Additionally exarch powers only apply to Aspect Warriors - the farseer is not an aspect warrior.

Correct

FAQ covers both

1. No can't link, must give up it's shot voluntarily so if it can't shoot normally (yes even star engines stops it) then they can't link.

2. Only aspect warriors may benefit.

Please see page 21: Exarch powers. "...only aspect warriors or Autarch in the same squad as the Exarch using them"

... this rule catches a lot of people out since is so well hidden.
