So for some reason I was under the impression that when one buys a predator they are able to make a razorback as well...somehow. I have a rhino off of someone else and now I have a predator kit. I was wondering if it was possible to use the heavy bolter sponsons from the predator kit and making a TL HB turret?

Yep!

The Land raider heavy bolters are exactly the same as those from the razorback sprue.

Well, you could probably get away with mounting the HBs to the sides of the rhino in place of the doors, then count the top hatch as the exit point.
Another option (albeit expensive) would be to mount the HBs to the pred Turret and mount that on top of the Rhino.
Best way: Buy the razorback kit, but dont glue the top hatch in place. Assemble the rhino hatch and keep it on the side.
If you need a rhino, put the hatch on. If you need a Razorback, put the turret mount on instead...
I went a step further and magnatized my Rhino side doors so i could set it up as a predator when required.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

I do something similar but with a big glob of poster putty. No magnets required!

A predator with a lascannon turret and no sponsons is technically armed the same as a TL-lascannon razorback, so that (while a bit confusing for your opponent) would be WYSIWYG. If you wanted a HB razorback, you'll have to do some conversion work to get the HBs on top of the vehicle, or just use them on the sides, which would be a bit of a disadvantage - limited firing arcs and loss of access points.

And with the Redeemer/Crusader kit, you get a Twin-Linked Assault Cannon in the same style, also perfect for Razorbacks! So, if, for whatever reason you're not using your LRR/LRC, you can take a Razorback with TL Assault Cannon, very handy
