Hello all,
I am just letting you all know that there is a new place to play 40K. The place is Gaming etc. at 555 Lordship Blvd, Stratford, CT. We have weekly games every Sunday generally around 12 or 1P.M. and starting next month there will be tournaments every third Sunday of the month. I hope that some people will come and join us to play.
Thanks for reading,

Unfortunately the store doesn't have official tables yet for right now we just use two folding tables put together, this is mainly because they just got into 40k about 2 months ago. However they are going to be remodeling the store in the upcoming months and will be getting 2 or more tables for miniature gaming. The store has ample room to game though with about 8000 square feet. If you want I can get a picture of the area but it will take a while to get it.

Are there any other days of the week for gaming or is it just on sundays?

edit: Just looked at their website and it seems like a nice place. Seems more geared for the CCG players and other mini games currently. Any idea if they plan to start stocking GW merchandise?

You can come any day to game if you want though you should probably avoid Saturdays as there is a yugioh tournament that day and alot of the tables get taken up and Sunday is just the official day when there will definitely be people there playing and when the tournaments will be held. I would say Wednesdays and Fridays are the other days when some people come to play but it isnt as definite as on Sunday so its somewhat of a hit or miss type deal.
Yes the store is geared more towards CCGs as that's what they have been selling since they opened but they do already carry GW merchandise there and they try to give a 10% discount on all GW products.

The URL is http://www.gamingetc.com/. Right now it doesn't have any 40k related stuff but there is a calendar of events that may prove useful.

Ok well I will post up when we are having our first tournament though I will let you know that the first one will be a 750 point tournament mainly due to the fact that we are trying to make it so the new people without the large armies will be able to participate in it and have a good time. If you don't want to play in a tournament that small it's ok because we will scale up the tournaments as the new player base builds up their armies.

I'd actually prefer those

Doubles are cool too, but not sure if tha'd work for a first tourny.

Yeah we have been considering doing a doubles tournament but not for the first one. Also we will see what the attendance is for the first event and if it is good and we have a reasonable number of people to make doubles practical we may do that but nothing is set in stone at this time.

Yeah no problem and we are always looking for more people and some diversity would be great too seeing as we have 2 blood angels players, 1 Space marine player, 3 ork players, and 2 daemon players and some have multiple armies such as myself I have a small nid force and tau in addition to my main army. But even if you do have one of the above armies it will still be good to have more players and more different strategies.

Just letting everyone that the deadline for army lists has been pushed back as we posted the information later than we had expected so you can still enter your lists and come to enjoy the event.
