hello had an interesting idea on a list using multiple dreadnoughts and the blood angels codex at 1500 points and wanted peoples opions. I currently play deamons and imperial gaurd but this is my first shot at a space marine list like this. First the list is currently as follows:

HQ--Chapter master gabriel seth

Elites:Furioso Libarian Dreadnought

Troops:
10 Deathgaurd
--Power fist, 2 hand flamer, rhino

2 Death company dreadnoughts

2 X 5 assualt marines with meltagun and power fist in a razorback with twin assualt cannons

Heavy:
2 X Dreadnought with double twin autocannons

First what hq should i take took seth because he looked good and fit in the points i had left. Second would this list work? The thought is a center core of the 3 main dreads and the razorback while the rhino and 2 death dreads flank to a side. Any thought or advise is very welcome.

Your complete lack of scoring units (besides 2 5 man assault teams) is probably going to make you auto-lose many game at 1500 points. I think you need a bit more scoring. Also, its almost always worth it to have a Librarian Dread instead of a normal one. Can give themselves a cover save and ability to move 12 instead of 6. Take the points from the HQ unit (can just take a normal librarian) and use it to buff the dread and scoring units.

Oops, you did take a libby dread. My mistake!

it looks fluffy to have 5 dreadnoughts, but i don't know if it shall work.
what are you going to do against orks and tyranids?
i think you will not have enough firepower against that.

don't think, you have to know it if you want to be a commander
2010-> IG losses:5, draws: 1, wins: a really lot of wins
2011 IG losses: 2, draws: 1 wins: 32

You can run six Dreadnoughts without running Death Company. It would save you alot of points and actually allow you to fill out other areas of your list.

Consider running a Twin-Linked Autocannon and a Plasma Cannon on your standard Dreadnoughts, it will give this list some much needed templates.

So basically my only advice for you is to reconsider the running the Death Company. They are your major point sink, then reuse the points to Get atleast two, ten man assult squads and your Dreadnoughts from your Elite and Heavy Support slots.
