Looking for some advice on pink horrors. New to the hobby so not very talented. I found this basic guide for some Bloodletters: http://www.kan.org/michael/mkp/bloodletters.php

I figure for pink horrors:
Prime White
Basecoat Squid Pink from VGC
Wash in Leviathan Purple ar Baal Red-GW
Highlight again with Squid Pink

or

Prime White
Wash in APJ purple wash a view pics down http://www.awesomepaintjob.com/Les__Wash_Recipe.html
then highlight in Squid Pink if it is not enough.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Belongs more on the main Painting and Modelling Forum but pretty much what Cadichan said. Mine even look like the Bloodletters at one point when I do them

Prime Black
Basecoat Scab Red
Drybrush several coats of Blood Red in order to lighten it up progressively
Once it's pretty much like the Bloodletters start drybrushing a roughly 3:1 mix of Skull White to Blood Red over the top.
Pick out teeth and claws with Bleached Bone
Wash Bleached bone with Sepia
Drybrush Bleached Bone sections lightly to brighten them up again
Pick out eyes with Golden Yellow
Each eye gets a small vertical line of Chaos Black to form the pupil rather than the usual dot
Inside of the mouth and tongue gets a thin coat Scab Red

As for the fire as the Army Book says they throw pink fire it was just painted white as the entire model is painted up following the steps, they lightly drybrushed towards the top with the pink mix.

Need pretty thin coats though. I had to do it this way as I had no red wash or pink paint

Finished result

Might make a proper tutorial for them later.

I think the first one you mentioned should turn out pretty well. Also It's Tzeentch so they're not meant to be uniform so might as well try out both of them as a mix of various shades of pink would probably suit them more.

If you check back in a week or so, I'll post a few pics of mine and write a step-by-step of how I did them. It may help, if you aren't in a rush to paint them. If it's too late, then sorry.

No please do Ktullhut. It's for my buddy and he's still busy assembling everything and has 30 blood letters to work on.

Which reminds me, I should add that mine are the old metal ones, not the new plastic ones (which I think look crap). However, since it's essentially still just arms, legs and teeth to paint it should be ok. I'll take a few pics tonight if I can.
