Right , this i plan is going to be my first decent blog a while ago i posted asking for people's opinions on a model i required for a diorama called the last stand of lucius wrathammer , basicaly , an arch lector is being challenged to fight by a vampire count , who is surrounded by soilders , probably graveguard , he either dies in an honourable challenge or fighs the Grave guard ,he dies either way.This is where i need dakka's help , i can't decide on what model to use for the vampire i have it narrowed down to three.







i will be using the on foot version of all three figures but i'm not sure which looks best. in the meantime i'm going to be paining the base and the priest.

Check back tomorrow and i'll have a picture of the priest and a wip of the conversion i plan on doing to him and what roughly i'm going to get done further down the line.

I think the 3rd is most dynamic, most suited for a diorama.

Thats what i was thinking mainly but i wasn't 100% sure

I would say the first one after a quick hand swap... you could have her conjuring or pointing with her left hand.

Another nice vampire model is Mordheim: Countess Marianna Chevaux (except for the sword) http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat490051a&prodId=prod1120055. If you are having grave guard doing the killing I think her pose is arrogant enough.

Well , i've made my decision and i've gone for the vlad von carstein figure his hand is in a beckoning gesture which is what i've been looking for , pictures to come.

So i went out and bought Vlad von carstein and i madde a start on painting him, so far his armour is just pplain mithril silver , but i'm going go work it ddown to blood red as in the bottom edge will be pure blood red.
As for the priest i've started painting his armour , i'm not painting his face because i'm going to change that for the head on the flech tearers chapter master.Comments and criticism are much appreciated.in the mean time i'mg oing to cut out a rough plan for the base i've made out of plywood , and then post that.

Looking good so far. I don't really see the point of swapping the head on the priest for Seth's.... they are both bald and hard looking old men.

Seth (i couldn't remeber his name) is screaming and i want lucius -the priest to look like he is accepting the challenge, that and moving his feet and he should look like hes going to atatck.

Right , i've finally done a bit more work on my vampire count , i spent the las few days getting and empire regiment ready to use , so my diorama was at the back of my mind, but i've spent a bit of time on him an this is what i've got
I didn't want to go for his traditional colours so i'm doing silver armour and purple soft stuff ,but i'm lining all his armour with red so isn't to monotone, what dod people think?
