So we have decided to play a tourny for warhammer (without knowing how to play) and i have the pleasure of painting to armies 2500 points each to a good standard in 5 weeks. The empire list that many people on here have helped me with (thanks), and an orcs and goblins list which is very troop heavy. gonna get some pics and upload them for the progress. I feel this task will be easy to accoplish but many people I talked to on sunday at Boro Pro Kill team tourny though this task to mammoth for someone with a full time job, social life, girlfriend and newly patched wow. The orc army looks well over 200 figures. These figures will not be rushed and look poor im always interested in getting close to best painted at tournys (like the last dakka one at warhammer world ). Place your bets to weather i gets done or not, the prize is to gloat over the people who got it wrong.

Pics comming this evening of the armies to be painted and as progress is made some more will be added. 1k a week seems easy

I managed to paint 125 NGs, Skarsnik, 5 spider riders in 18 days to a standard that has won me 3 best painted army trophies, 2 at national tournament level.

I was working full time at the time, but as I was in the bush working as the town doctor, I was without wife, then need to cook (the hospital made all my meals) and had the first 7 seasns of SG1 on my computer in the background.

well started the 33 orc archers , not even taken the empire from the bits box yet. just got last 10 black orcs and chars off ebay that i needed, god i can feel myself hating green and brown after this.

orc archers done, once i get the horde done for Corsair then I can work on the empire (make them nicer as so little to paint) next task the massive brick of black orcs I feel.

I'm proud of you for taking the undertaking, it's a great accomplished feeling when you're done and it'll make you want to either paint more or bash all your brushes at once lol I like what you did with the horses, keep it up!

horses aint painted yet like thats just how they look when they came dusty out of the bits box. gonna paint that unit templer style i think (cause its quick)

and some black orcs (some orcs painted dark, and some kitbashed together to fill numbers) and general, might revisit him if i have some time left as totally rushing the orcs off .

ps my camera is being a bit flashy in the stupid light, ill make some effort to take good pics when i have things fully done.

Maybe you can enlist someone to do bases for you while you snatch off the paint jobs (which are looking Good!). Having uniform bases (as far as the edge color and being flocked) makes even crazy-different stuff look good together

Wow, I thought my 2500 point dark elf army I painted up in 2 1/2 weeks was impressive. you're doing two armies with, what I'm assuming to have way more models than my high points cost elves. Good luck!
