Hey everyone,
So its been a while since I posted anything (ooops), but I was really pleased with this chunk of a Tau commission I'm doing for a gentleman on the East Coast, so I figured I would show you all and get some input.
In addition to the pictures, I did about 15 drones that I forgot to upload pictures for, but you can see the basic look on the drones on the Piranha.
My basic style involves a lot of Drybrushing and Overbrushing, it gives everything a nice texture and good coverage. Then I go back and do detail work, cloth, etc., usually by the standard layering and blending methods.

XV9 Hazard Suit: My favorite chunk of the commission, he's got 2 more that he wants me to do for him.

Crisis Suit Commander and Bodyguard: Fun models to do, he's got 5 more Crisis suits he wants done. I'm actually thinking about a Tau force now after finishing these guys!

Tau Fire Warriors: This is two of the three squads, I marked one with red and the other with white to designate squads. The Shas'o also have a little direct source lighting, as well as some extra markings on the helmets.

Shas'o Detail:

Tau Stealth Suits: I had always wanted to try the "transforming" scheme accustommed to them, and its actually really easy. The client was extremely happy with the result as well!

Tau Hammerhead: Really fun model to do, the red and the white really pops on the doors!

Tau Piranha: Actually a really fun model to paint, the propaganda on the Right side was really fun and seemed to fit perfectly too!

The next group is going to have some Kroot and Pathfinders, as well as more suits, Tanks, and Fire Warriors!
I'd love to get some feedback on them, either on here or directly on my Blog, Smells Like Wargaming (See large banner below).
Thanks
Granesh

wow, an actually nice and realistic tau scheme. I would have never thought...

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you all like the models! The XV9 was definitely the most fun to do, and was actually really easy to do as well!
@Ailaros: I was thinking the same thing when the guy sent me the information on the Tau...then sent me the picture of Forge World's one and I was set. Tau deserve a real camo scheme, rather than blues, oranges, and reds for hard armour.
@Ifurita: I think I like yours better than mine, the thin line looks more natural than a thicker line.
Once again, I'm glad everyone likes these. This is just the first chunk, so I'll probably have another group of pictures up like this in a little bit. I'm also looking at starting a Tau army now...crap....
