Hey LB,

It never ceases to amaze me how many google searches for hobby information lead me back to this site. Bookmarking them through my browser is okay for at home (not really, Chrome is not bookmark friendly) but leaves me high and dry at my work computer. So I was wondering if an article bookmarking feature is possible, especially one where an individuals bookmarks would be viewable by other users. A corrolary feature could be some kind of count for the writers of how many people have bookmarked their articles. I think these features would give our article writers more assurance that their stuff would actually get read and maybe even encourage them to write more. They could also make it easier to help answer questions. It would really be invaluable for quick linking helpful articles in threads, for example.

Thanks as always!

There is a bookmarking system at the moment 'Your Watchlist' link on the left of all articles. Click the 'watch' tab at the top of any article and it gets added to your list.

As for the other stuff, I have been planning better feedback for article authors in some fashion, as well as giving lots of thought to an overhaul of the articles navigation, so we'll see what comes of that someday.

Right, was aware of the watchlist. I thought there might be a simple way to make it more mainstream. As it stands, the articles can feel invisible. The watchlist feature, for example, is not even accessible through one's user page.

The biggest problem with the articles is the same problem that is endemic to all wikis and that is getting a good navigational structure to it. Any suggestions or drafts of alternate interfaces to the articles are much appreciated (beyond tighter integration of watchlist/bookmarking which I am on the fence about without improving the interface of the watchlist first).
