I'm looking for a replacement for Black ink I can't find anything that will give me the glossy finish and I'm pretty sure that mixing black wash and gloss varnish won't do me any good. So any solutions that people have found?

Coat D'Arms uses the exact same formulas as old GW paints. Try them and see if they've go it.

Just did a check and they do indeed have a black ink and guessing by what SRM has said I'd say there the closest I'm going to get to the GW ones but is there any way to get Cote D'Arms in Ireland?

Vallejo Game colour series has also pretty nice black ink.. It is named as smokey ink or something similar.

Is it the Glossy Finish you want? If so, just Badab Black Wash and then Gloss 'Ard Coat. If not, I'm not sure what to recommend to you. Inks are thicker than washes, so perhaps adding a blob of Chaos Black and a drop of Flow Aid would match quite closely?
