Alright, I'm a fairly new LoE player and I have a little bit of extra cash for christmas and want to buy a 35 point army.
So here's the list I'm thinking of:

Absylonia
3 Shredders
1 Carnivean
Typhon
2 Raeks
and a Forsaken

What do you guys think of this list?
What could be added or taken away from the list to keep it more warbeast focused?
I want to keep it centered around the warbeasts so please give me comments.
Once I'm done with collecting it I'll go ahead and start painting and posting pics.

OT. i think you need a shepard in there somehow. interpret that however you see fit.

This list gives you the same as your above minus 1 shredder but giving you 2 sheperds AND a full spawning vessel units for exactly 35, and it's also Tier 4. The shepards give you the focus control you were lacking and the spawning vessel makes more shredders.
EDIT: And it may appear that the points go over but there's a point cost dec rease for adhering to the tiers.

The Spawning Vessel is a mediocre choice most of the times, in a list that doesn't have any infantry units its just throwing points away.

I do think you need a bit more fury management on the first list so I would go with your second list.

Well I don't know Legion that well, I mainly put the vessel in because it was exactly 3 points and didn't break the tier. Take that out then if it's such a bad fit, and somehow stick 3 points into the list I made without breaking tier.

Why are you concerned with Tier restrictions in the first place? The OP doesn't say anything about keeping it in Tier.

Besides, it seems like sirbludgen's second list is also Tier 4, and with a few modifications he could take another Raek:

1 Carnivean
Typhon
2 Raeks
2 Forsaken
1 Shepherd

Because by sticking to tier OP doesn't have to do much to change the list and you can fit more in, AND then there are the ingame bonuses.

My 35 point t4 list is:

Absy
2x Seraph
2x Scythean
3x Shredder
2x Forsaken

Four Heavies at 35 is obscene. Plus, it gets you 3 slipstreams a turn. You are now very mobile. I use the Shredders like infantry. They rabid run right into enemy units and heavies holding them up a turn, so my heavies can move into position to strike next turn.
