With the latest faq, they have made her and her risin almost useless.
She was my premier mercenery meat/bone shield and was great with rupert making them tough.
Now that she must alocate damage to more than one undead model she stands no chance of being worth 5pts
Do you disagree?

If you manage to do 1 hit causeing 14damage vs her armor of 14 they are all dead

Totally, that's how I've played her all along (our group never subscribed to the RAW reading of her rules, we knew it would be erratad sooner or later). It's a 10+ model, fearless unit for five points. Few factions have access to that amount of cannon fodder for so little cost.

Just keep her as far back as you can so as to avoid taking hits on her. Even if all the risen do is block charge lanes they'll make their points back.

Please explain how you used to do it before the errata. I have a feeling we always
played it the way the errata reads anyway.

Alexia was so kick ass tho, I have pulled many a assassination's off with her by burning her stock pile of corpses. Now i can hide her and hope no one is cappable of attacking her that sucks. I really wish they would put a cautions sticker on $60.00 units "may be crap come july" Sad-Face emotacon

We assumed her diying caused 1 resin to die in her stead, then she would remain with 1hp like the card reads, not for every damage point suffered remove one risin.

Im currently trading her to a friend who has wanted her for some time to run with his Kahdor, for a full unit of Bane thralls.
She serves a new purpose now, I guess...

Our store is also fairly new to the game long time GW slaves first time warmachine players. No experiance with mk1 at all.

that's how her ability worked in MkI. She's a pretty regular choice in my Mercenary armies. Try putting her next to a model with Shield Guard if she dies frequently.

If you run her with MacBain, she's rediculous. Pop his feat, target her, then run her forward. Kill a bunch of stuff around her, and next turn pop out a ton of risen. She's effectively unkillable during his feat, so you'll get the zombies next turn.

Hell, you get her for 1pt cheaper in his Theme list.

Alexia is still an excellent tarpit. The Risen are not game changing other than being able to pile tons in play and pop out Thralls with Weapon Master which should just be seen as suicide machines. Thralls are awesome for locking up warcasters, jacks, beasts, everything. Go ahead, do you really want a free strike from a model with ok mat, but with average str + weapon master? Not really.

They're lots of fun with McBain's Countermeasure spell cast on them along with Tough from the Piper of Ord.

No shooting for enemy models within 5" means that some models can't shoot even if they move out of combat (taking a free strike as they do) and with Tough as well you aren't even guaranteed to remove them if you attack them.

The free weapon master solo missile is just gravy.

I use her to swell the ranks of my WG in my Zerkhova list, but the newest errata perked her up a bit. I have to admit for five points as a unit she was a little to powerful.

I like her... I'd so put her surfing a boneswarm.

She does not work for Cryx...so she is not in the shopping bag. :-(

To be honest, I like all the factions. If I do take a step into a different faction, it will be after I actually get more experience with the game... I mean I've only had..... *counts fingers*.... 9 games?

The next closest Warmachine faction I like is Retribution.......one Alexia also does not hook up with :-(

Dont bother Sanctjud, the rest will never mesure up to what they will acomplish as undead servents, so long as thier flesh is still warm to the touch.
