The FAQs are down so I can't check with GW, but how far do Necron Scarabs and Wraiths move?
The codex says that they move like Jetbikes, but they don't have the "count as Jetbiokes for the purposes of movement" bit that Destroyers do.

Basically, 6" doesn't seem enough, but 12" and turbo boost seems too much

In a world gone mad, who is left to fight for truth, justice and all that gets you smashed for under a fiver....

First played 40k during 2nd edition, missed out 3rd and 4th, and haven't played 40k since 5th edition - but still read and occasionally paint

They move 12'' or turboboost 24''.... That's all...

They can 100% turbo boost! And they can move 12 normally.

Remember the codex is old and worded differently to current ones, so you're right to ask if unsure.

So scarabs get something like a 3+ Inv (it may even be a 2+, i'm not 100% sure)when they turbo boost!

They get 2+... 3+ cover save from turbo-boos + swarm special rule +1 on cover saves... It's faq I think... There is dilemma though on it's normal cover save... They have +1 for swarm and +1 for small target, 2 different special rules... RAW, RAI who knows.... Perhaps they always have 2+ cover when in 4+ cover, perhaps just 3+...

What's important is that they are amazing for tying up that devastator squad kicking the crap out of your warriors.

Please don't try and avoid the swear filter in future please. Ta.

If i may clarify something with the scarabs then, if they move 18-24 inch's and claim turbo-boosting they automatically gain a 3+ cover save as stated on pg 76 of the BRB, added onto this is their 'Swarm' rule which gives them the 'Stealth' rule both also on pg 76, the 'Stealth' gives them a +1 improved cover save giving them a 2+ cover even if out in the open.
What then would happen if i turbo-boosted my scarabs behind a wall etc that gives a cover save, they used turbo-boosting and so gain a 3+ save then the 'Stealth' ability gives a 2+ save would you then add on the scarabs special rule of 'small target' which gives a +1 save if in cover, i understand that any roll of a 1 would always fail the save so would you then get a reroll for the save of 6 sort of like models with high BS of 6+ do as stated on pg18 of the BRB??

1 always fails. Nothing better than a 2+ save.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Any reason as to why, seems to me for 12pts a base im paying for these rules to take benefit of cover yet i cant even use them all, ie turbo-boosting, stealth and small target and if the right situation arises as i specified in my previous post why would i have to lose out?

I do agree that a roll of 1 always fails however my cover save has effectively become better that a 2+ just as a model with BS of 6 is also better than a roll of 2+ to hit, yet that model would get to try again and would hit on a roll of 6 the second time around, any reason as to why i could not do another cover save which would also be a 6 needed, just wondering?

Becaause the rules dont let you "wrap round" saves like that.

The best save you can get is 2+. Nothing more, nothing less.

As above, it's in the rules... best save 2+, 1 always fail... If it isn't in the rules, it doesn't exist

Useram: it is worth pointing out your math is flawed anyways as it takes into account USRs that the Scarabs do not have to begin with. they do not have Stealth nor the USR Swarms(which would grant them Stealth).

they have their own Special rule called Swarms that does exactly what it says it does(Jetbike movement, plus no difficult test, plus cannot hold hold objectives/capture table quarters/count as surviving units in a mission that no longer exists).

their Vulnerable to blasts is the same as the USR.

Small Target is the same as stealth(but not actually Stealth)

The most they get is Cover save +1, so while turboboosting: 2+ cover save

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

I see, 2+ cover save is still more than enough to annoy my opponents with..

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also Kel the reason that it doesn't state they get the 'Stealth' rule is the codex was written in 2002 towards the end of 3rd edition, they made 4th edition backwards compatible with the latter 3rd edition codex's, in 4th they had all 3 USR's of Small Targets (+1 save if in cover), Stealth (+1 save if in cover) and Swarms (units with this gain 'Small Target' rule and 'Vulnerable to Blasts/Templates), in the Necron codex they do give the USR Swarms rule based on the 4th edition USR which did not at the time include 'Stealth', however 5th edition has removed the 'Small Targets' USR but let swarms have 'Stealth' instead, since i still have to use the old codex but play using the new rules i could theoretically gain both 'Small Targets' as written in the codex and the USR 'Swarms' as written in the 5th edition BRB which gives me 'Stealth'.
They as their name implies are counted as swarms and use there rules, they adjusted the 'Swarms' rule in the codex to advise of the increased movement and that they cant capture mission objectives but its still a USR so until they bring out the new codex which will likely remove the 'Small Targets' or make it a unit special rule then i can still use it aswell.
