The defiler appears to have 2 reapers on one sponson which raw in codex states it is a twin linked one. A single Reaper Autocannon is already twin linked so shouldn't this be 2 reapers or double twin linked or is that just for fluff?

GENERATION 10: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair grab some popcorn and yell JUMP BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably fluff? A Defiler only has a single Reaper Autocannon.

Yes they model twin-Linked as two weapons side by side.

2 reapers on one sponson is a twin linked one.

Look at the Twin Linked Heavy bolter or the Twin Linked Lascannons on the chaos landraider. they are just 2 Heavy Bolters or 2 Lascannons side by side.

WYSIWYG indeed; Thanks GW.

It is but 1 Twin-linked reaper auto-cannon; which would make the weapon 2 Twin-linked, twin-linked shots(double twin-linked does nothing by the way).

Reaper Autocannons have traditionally been double-barrelled autocannons (see the Chaos Terminators one), though normally were modelled as one above the other. The RA on the Defiler is the same thing, just with them being modelled side-by-side instead.

So it's not two Reaper Autocannons on the model at all; it's two autocannons strapped next to each other to represent one Reaper Autocannon.

Yup, this. A Reaper is twin-linked because it is two cannons slaved together. The Defiler does follow WYSIWYG in that respect.

That's what I get for not digging up the photo of the actual model...

Also for not double checking the Codex; it is only listed as a reaper, not a twin-linked reaper.

Fail.

Reaper Autocannons are double barrel autocannon. Its annoying the rules dont state what weapons look like, but no, it is not twin linked. A reaper autocannon would require 4 barrels to be present before it was twin linked.

I think a person would be better off at this point complaining that the Havoc Missile Launcher doesn't look twin linked, even though it has those six rocket tubes on the model.
