Sorry if theres a thread for this already but I was wondering If anyone still plays vassal 40k and when they're usually on? Also anyone know where additional sprite packs are around or updates in general? I know it was shutdown but seen a few tyranid sprites I don't have :S

Other than vassal40k.net, that is all I know of in terms of updates. You can make your own sprites if need be. I spent roughly an hour trying to understand how to work the program, and I am still lost.

Lost in how to work vassal. I read the part about sprites. I could possibly make some if I really took the time, doesn't seem too difficult with the proper photo-editing software/Photoshop.

If I knew how to work Vassal to play a game I would play, but still confused on how to get a game started.
I haven't touched the program since i got irritated with it. I put my army in it and saved it, but when I went to open the army it was gone. Spent an hour getting the stuff into the army tray thing.

lol Yeah it was a little frustrating at 1st but if your up for trying again I'll play against ya/ help ya out. I hardly get to play 40k anymore and theres not too many peeps on vassal just hanging out looking for a pickup game.

would love to learn to play WH on vassal, well WH all together LOL, i figured vassal could be a good place to start if someone wants to help teach me.. I have skype to make it easier too!

Skype is almost a must for new players otherwise 1k pts can take 4 hrs to play :S lol

In a word...No. It's too clunky and slow. The models are old...It just doesn't really work as well as it could.

Maybe a couple guys on /tg/ play, but other than that, I don't think so.

Well its terrible compared to playing in person but someone actually did take up the mod and is (and already have) updating it. THe new version doesn't use the same vassal room so people with the old one wont see the new people and vice versa. Quite a few play the new version... well relatively.
