what are your favorite (or least if you have played against them) space wolves tactics/units and why. Im trying to pick up some idias my favorite has got to be logan grimnar with his power weapon weilding wolf gaurd it puts a downer on anyones battle plans when they hop out of their landraider and start making sushie out of their best units. and grey slayers in a drop pod with loads of meltas are a must in my army which lacks any long range tank busting capabilitys. can you help me out with some idias. peace

and thats a melta bomb up side your head

Thunderwolf Calvary with either 2 lords or 2 battle leaders. Kit out one for troops, one for tanks/t5+ throw them in with 4 other calvary. Enjoy. Squad of t5 2w troops with wound shennigans and 3++ invuls is hard to kill.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Drop podding a squad of 8 GH with melta, wolf guard with combi-melta/powerfist and a rune priest is efficient as well. Keep the RP in the squad the turn they land and murderous hurricane, then you can seperate him from the squad and go on to Jaws/LL stuff on is own or continue to rock things from the squad.

My preferred tactic is to avoid Razorbacks and Long Fangs and try to be more 'original'.
Generally, I find that I avoid Wolf Guard a lot more than many, I don't deny they're good, I just struggle to make room for their points and function.

If I could, I would put Ragnar in a Land Raider with a CC unit just to see how much it can chew through.

Ultimately though, my favourite Space Wolf tactic is 10 Grey Hunters in a Rhino with Standard and/or MotW and 2 Meltas. Much underestimated and rarely seen with all the razorbacks these days but still very reliable, versatile and deadly...

I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

I'm a big fan of Wolf Scouts with 2 power weapons and a meltagun.
Come in (hopefully) on any board edge and take out anything exposed e.g. IG cmmand squads, a tank etc

I have to agree with this. I do the same with my grey hunters and they always perform very well. I usually have power weapon in there as well though
