Is It just me or is kharn the betrayer or any space marine like - thing hard to draw ?

"Sticks and stones may break my bones , but words will never hurt me "

It's the anatomical implausibility of the armor and the things wearing the armor. Compare what the Space Marines are drawn like to what people dressing up like Space Marines end up looking like.

There's no such thing as a plausible looking and appealing twelve foot tall human being. Textbook giantism just doesn't sell models.

Compared to what? Space Marines aren't the hardest thing in the world to draw. They're all just really simple shapes; mostly cylinders. The extraneous detail is a pain, but if you're just drawing a regular Space Marine there isn't much of it.

Did you guys know Canada has a friggin desert?

I drew a space marine for an art project last year. the main problem is the shoulders, since you have to make it 1/4 of a sphere. but after that its pretty easy for me.

You're not playing the game like I play it...why aren't you playing the game like I play it?! O_O

Space Marines aren't hard to draw per se
But if you take movement and plausibility into account it is difficult.

Shoulder pads are way too big for one thing.
The leg armour is a big bug bear also imho

Ive had lots of problems drawing the shoulder pads on them, they look to big or too small sometimes. The helmet is just a pain for me

I find them rather too easy. Their armour shapes are simple. If you have trouble, find some art online as a reference. I Googled "space marine art" with Googles image viewer and found tons of stuff.

I don't find them terribly difficult to draw. Terminators are much harder. The hardest part is probably the shoulder pads, which has already been said

If only ZUN!bar were here...
