Hello all, another couple of questions for you here, specifically concerning artillery:
1. Do you need LOS to fire indirectly?
2. Which artillery can fire indirectly? Only those with a minimum range? It would say in the unit's entry correct?
3. Do I still need to guess the range or anything?
Thanks!

1. No. Hence "firing indirectly" aka Barrage
If you DO have LOS you get an advantage.....
2. Anythign which is "barrage", or states "guess". Just having a minimum range just means you have a minimum range....
3. No guessing involved.
Read the Barrage section of the rulebook for more....

1. No. If you do have LOS, you can reduce the scatter distance by your BS. 2. Any weapon with the "barrage" rule can be fired indirectly. 3. No. You basically say "I'm shooting this", then measure to see if you are in range.

1 ) no los is required for indirect fire, unless a specific unit special rule applies.
2) the ones that say "barrage" in their rules. minimum range has no meaning for indirect ( but i have not seen anything with a minimum range that wasnt barrage), it would say barrage in the unit entry.
3) read the BBB under blasts and barrage weapons for full rules but short answer is no.
you forgot to ask this...
unless a unit has a special rule stating otherwise a barrage unit can fire direct. (eg griffon can only fire indirect)
