Exactly what the title says. I'm looking for some good ideas on what could be a counts-as bloodcrusher in an Iron Warrior seige warband. Basically I've got the other options covered for what I want to do including DP's that are packing some serious firepower but I need a good count-as bloodcrusher. I was thinking of my Admech Counts-as DP:

But in Iron Warrior form and obviously more chaosified. But I'm totally open to other ideas since this one would cost a pretty penny for 2 squads of 5 ($350....). It doesn't have to be a cheap alternative but I'd like some other ideas of what I can do.

Go for it!

Some options may be to convert some monstrous mechanical construct that barrels into the enemy ranks, Berserkers on Juggernaut charging in (Remember reading somewhere that Iron Warriors used Berserkers to break the lines), or some sort of mechanical harness on Possessed Iron Warriors, as in the old 3.5 book it mentioned that IW used mechanical enhancements on their possessed since they abhor mutation.

If all else fails, Daemon Ironclad Dreadnoughts.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Some sort of 4-legged robot with either a rider or perhaps a centaur-style torso on top? the problem is sourcing the legs - using Sentinel legs looks fine (as per your pic) but would be horribly expensive. Hmm, perhaps model the robot as a 2-legged giant chicken/emu/ostrich with a rider? - that would at least save on half the legs.

You could abandon the 'beast and rider' look entirely, and just go for a close combat robot look, but it might look a bit too much like a choppy obliterator, not that that's necessarily a bad thing.

Some people model their oblits as mutated swollen termies, so I suppose you could do the same for Bloodcrushers, fluffwise they represent ex-termies who've been 'blessed' by being mutated into bestial close combat monsters who fight like Bloodcrushers?

for me, the terminator body seems a bit small as compared to sentinel legs, so

make the torso/man half bigger

1. oblit top half mounted onto sentinel legs

2 soul grinder mounted onto sentinel legs (should run about a jillion dollars)

3. terminator torso, but use greenstuff (and plasticard) to bulk em up

4. use ogre kingdom torsos (maybe with defiler masks)

5. demon prince torso on sentinel legs

make the body/horse part smaller

5. use the plastic juggernaut body

6. find a mechanical horse body (there are a few options out there)

7. make a mechanical body out of either a space marine bike or ork bike

8. make a mechanical "spider" body (could be anywhere from 4-8 legs) out of plastic tubes and greenstuff (I'm going to do this one myself at some point)

use a larger frame

9. saw a conversion where juggers were converted into biped monsters standing on their hind legs and wielding weapons in anthropomorphic hands in their forelimbs

10. someone on here did a tyranid/necron mash-up -- you could use a warrior body and add in terminator/oblit pieces and arms, heads

11. millionaire's option -- find some imperial robots (umm, $20 - $50 each) and cyborg termi them up

my personal choice would be

12. all of the above, make each individual a unique expression of the techno-virus

I've always been disappointed that GW's chaos is not more chaotic (Boo GW!)

10k pts Eldar (no jetbikes -- how is that possible?)

2k pts 3rd edition Wolves (no werewolves or clifford cavalry -- but I do have a nifty Leman Russ Exterminator shaped paperweight)

3k pts chaos marines
