Hello Dakkites I'm here to tell you that I have finished writing up the rules for my second 40k campaign. My first one was a pretty big success with my local group of gamers so I'm looking to go two in a row. But I am here to gauge the interest of the dakkites interest in hearing about it. I was just gunna play through the game and have it done with. But I have posted battle reports on here and I usually don't see many campaigns. So my question to you would be is if after winter break is over and me and all the guys at my college gaming club got back together would you want to see and read what goes on in this 9 week long campaign? Also any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on campaigns you have either held or participated in and what you thought was most successful and what did not work.

If there is a bit of background involved in the battle reports then yeah definatly. If there is pictures then even more so. If it is just words then not so much...

yep it will have pictures of the campaign map each week and a spotlight of one battle report each week along with the scores of what happened that week here is the background story on the campaign its kind of a collision of all armies on this planet:

The planet of Athanos and there major hive city Athanos Prime which lies on the edge of the Segmentum Solar in the outer edge of Segmentum Tempestus are soon to become the place of destruction and mayhem. This outlying planet is abundant with rich minerals that the Imperium desperately needs for its factories. Thus the Athanos Imperial Legion was born. The Athanonian 5th the most known of the Athanos Regiments are known for routing Waaagh! Killfang out of the system. Being on the edge of the Imperium they are constantly under raids from the different abominations the system has to offer.

A splinter fleet of Hive Fleet Behemoth has veered off in search of its next meal and is heading straight towards Athanos. In anticipation of this threat all the Athanos Regiments stand at the ready to fend off this major threat. This outlying world also bears the Necrons tombs and the deep mining into the crust of the planet has awakened these monsters. The Daemon Gods followers on Athanos have called for their master’s help in destroying this planet and enslaving its inhabitants to their god’s ways. Even the scheming Tzeentech has looked to join into the slaughter. With the warp ripping open the sisters of battle have been called to assist this doomed planet.

The Orks of Waaagh! Killfang have returned to the system their boss looking for vengeance and “anuver good ‘ight against dem umies”. With already one of the Imperial Guard regiments corrupted the system is in turmoil. The tau have recently started scouting parties into the Tempestus Sector for the greater good and have made their way to Athanos. This collection of the enemies of the Imperium has gained the attention of the Emperor’s Chosen Space marines.

The descent of these Space Marines is the final piece of the puzzle bringing a new kind of urgency to the defenders of Athanos to hold the line and keep their home.
