Umm... depends on what you want really. Now with Vlad he's a great infantry style buffing caster so lots of infantry go well with him. I run both styles, a Karchev mangled metal all jack list, an eIrusk all winterguard list and a Butcher Juggernaut and Man O War list. I prefer basic winterguard to riflemen just because with their combined range attack and base str 12 shot they can bring down just about anything. Riflemen haven't really "done it" for me. I love shocktroopers and you can't go wrong with a destroyer. Mostly just try it out in a few matches and see if it plays how you like it. I'd say it'll be pretty weak against a heavy warjack list.

Drop those assault kommandoes, not only are they weak, but you also didnt include a jack. Since warcasters provide free points for warjacks, you always want to include at least 1. Plus, Vlad gives the Drago character jack excellent bonuses.
If I were you, I would drop the kommandos and take drago. It is early for me, but I believe that will leave you with 2 points left over? Take a manhunter to fill it.

Yes, definitely need at least one jack, and especially since Vlad has a character jack that goes with him (and Drago can be downright disgusting if you get him close) I'd wholeheartedly suggest him. Assault Kommandos are really only good with Strakhov and while kinda fun they don't really do it for me. Manhunters are good, as are widowmakers. You can't really go wrong with insta-killing single wound troops.

Yes thats what I couldnt remember. Kovnik joe is required for any winterguard heavy list.
With joe and the dog, that list seems decent, although there isnt enough axe in it for my taste. You have plenty of infantry killing ability with some very hard hitting models, both melee and ranged. Also, drago can butcher alot of jacks with ease, with very little focus required from vlad since he charges/runs for free.
I tried assault kommandos and I did not like them. Having them under shield wall behind a low wall and they still got killed by some enemy ranged infantry. I suppose they could be good with strakhov since they would charge 10in...but they dont hit very hard at all, and their MAT/RAT arent good.

i wouldnt touch AK's with a 10ft pole, they are really bad.
try this:
Vladimir, The Dark Prince
Drago
Juggernaut
War dog
Widowmakers (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts)
Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard
Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich
this list covers alot of bases, has long range threat, mid range threat and short range face beating with a feat turn missile system for the jacks. 2 hard hitting jacks backed my solid infantry lawnmowers really make a balanced list that can handle alot of threats.

I want AKs to be useful, soooo bad. I think if they made some minor improvements, they could be good. Maybe if they gave them some kind of boost on charge attacks, increased their RAT/MAT by 1, or made it so that their gas grenades did not have to hit a target to lay down smoke, some of that stuff would make them solid infantry. As they are now, winterguard will always be a better selection.
I could see them being really good with a caster that could buff their hitting power like butcher. Fury would give them some good power since they have 2 melee attacks. If they could toss their smoke without having to hit with their terrible RAT, they could apply the debuff MUCH easier, and they could lay down smoke screens for advancing infantry. That would almost make them worth taking. Also, I do not know the stats on the new flamethrowers, but they probably arent anything special.
I would almost prefer taking the widows out and adding rockets to the WG squad. You would get the same long range hit as the widows, although it would be more powerful at POW 12, and it would have an AOE, making it deadly to light infantry. Also, your opponent would have to beat down the entire squad of the WG to get the rockets out of the way, which is no easy task with the buffs from Joe, and the UA. Also, having Joe would negate the rocket's comparatively low RAT compared to the widows. I suppose you would lose a bit of reliable damage on hard targets like warjacks and tough casters, but I would rather have the AOEs.
If you took out the widows and took 3 rockets, you could drop the dog and take a manhunter, OR, take only 2 rockets, and you will have 2pts left for the hunter and you can keep the war dog, which can save your caster from ALOT of assassination runs.

You're probably getting overrun with opinions and suggestions lol, but I say make sure if you take something, take what synergizes well with it.
Like, if you take the winter guard, MAKE SURE to leave points left for the attachment and kovnic Joe. Those models make the original unit exponentially better for their points.
Also, I say take Drago. With Vlad he's INSANE. He'll wreck jacks even without extra focus.
But mostly, pVlad is excellent by himself and helps out ANY MODEL, so you can take anything with him. He's great for trying out models for the first time.
