Hi all you might have realized that i'm a fan of 1000 Point games..
so here is my Tau army

Hmm... I think would suggest getting rid of the 2 crisis battlesuits for a unit of pathfinders, and to upgrade your devilfish to full blown warfish (SMS, Multi Tracker, Disruption Pods)

It would be nice to get some broadsides in this list... I would suggest getting rid of the hammerhead for two broadsides...

If you make your Commander a base fireknife guy (PR/MP/MT) that could save some points. If you whiddle down your firewarriors, that will save some more points... and you may just be able to get your hammerhead in if you still want it, along with two broadsides.

For 1001 points, you can get:

Fireknife Commander
3 Fireknife Suits
2 units of 6 Fire Warriors
2 fish w/ SMS/TA/MT/D-pods
1 unit of 4 pathfinders
2 broadsides with A.S.S.
1 Hammerhead w/ BC/MT/ and a Rail Gun

If you get rid of a fireknife, you could give your hammerhead Disrption Pods and you could up your troops count,or get more pathfinders

Then again, that might be overkill on the AT... so you could trash a broadside and do:

Shas'el Fireknife w/ TA
2 Fireknife suits
2 units of 10 firewarriors
2 fish w/ SMS/TA/MT/D-pods
2 units of 4 pathfinders
1 broadsides with A.S.S.
1 Hammerhead w/ BC/MT/ D-pods and a Rail Gun

and that would be 1002

I think you made a fatal mistake in calculation cause I get over 1200 points.

2 fish with SMS/TA/MT/D-pods for 240points

2 units of pathfinders for 256 points because they have to take a fish (calculated the basic fish without anything)

-railgun
-Multi tracker
-D-pods

that should be 1172 points.
I just got suspicious about the list because you forgot the fishes for the pathfinders

I always take the pathfinder D-fish for my firewarriors... saves points. Pathfinders don't need their devilfish.

Sorry I didn't specify, I just naturally assume most the time.

Ah ok that would be 160 points off wich still leaves us 12 points over the limit.

Are you sure its 12 points over? I used a Tau points calculator and I got only 2 over. If its that much over you could just remover the TA from your commander.

I'll leave you and TB to hash out the points and just mention a minor thing or two.

Dropping the TA would get you under 1k. Otherwise, I *don't* think PFs are reasonably addable in 1k lists, not given that they'll take up points spent on XV8s or RailHeads. Otherwise, an okay list.
