I’ve been painting for about half a year now and I’m bored with my typically painted guard scheme. This is my current project that the rest of my guard will be converted to in the future (renegade guard). The tank is going for a total rust look, pigments and inks are my next step.

The picture is a little brighter than reflected in real life, but any subjection would be greatly appreciated.

I was going for a burned cannon tip look, the inside of the cannon will be painted or inked black so it doesnt stand out.

No idea why the exhaust appear to be to red, really appear much more dull.

It doesn't have any Chaos iconography on it.

Looks battle worn, but not to the condition of Renegade. You should have some spiky trophy racks on it as well as some chaos runes carved into it. Kill tallies and other such items.

Renegade =/= Chaos

in 40k, renegade implies Chaos. Still though, Renegade Forces would have equipment that is obviously scavanged, poorly maintained, and/or covered in graffiti of all sorts.
