well my kids saw me painting lastnight and they wanted to paint their "own" models. So i broke out a couple of my marines for them. I would say they did a really good job for their first time, I think I may have to commission them to paint the rest of my army for me!!

Really good for some young 'uns

Mine were awful when I started (like age 11). They'll be masters soon enough.

@1up, I am in the same boat, i have next to no artistic ability, but i try and thats all that matters i have found out, everyone says painting black temps is easy, but man there is so much detail on their stuff. I do enjoy it tho, its relaxing to me, its all trial and error for me. I really enjoyed painting with the kids, i let them pick the colors they wanted to put on the SM's and back packs, but i picked out the weapon colors and wash and let them do it. They enjoyed it.

See I find it a progressive thing.

Kids start out with some pretty damn good painting- Of course ther'es an obscene amount of heavy breathing, and tongue poking out in concentration, but their first miniature seems pretty damn good. Of course, if they get more, and have an urge to paint them up to play with them- Well, that decent one they first did normally is their best for a good while.

How do you know such knowledge Ghosty? Aren't you just the tender age of 17?

H'why yes, but that is exactly what happened to me!
