According to Kor'sarro Khans & any SM Captain if they are on a bike. SM bike SQ of 5 or more count as troops. Now when you go to pg 68 of the SM codex it states if you where to split the squad into combat squads you would have a 5man Bike squad and a 3man bike squad with the Attack bike.

So with that would that mean if you got the 3 you get for 90 + an attack bike it counts as an entire bike squad?

No. This will happen only if you have a full squad and split it

No as you would at that point only have 4 models as the mounted assault rule states models. This means you must purchase an additional bike plus the attack bike to make it a troop squad so you have 5 models. The rules under combat squads for the bikes only tells how you combat squad them, not that the attack bike always counts as two bikes for purposes of making them troops.

From a fluff standpoint, three guys on bikes and an attack bike is half a squad, just like five guys on bikes.

Unfortunately, the rule as written does not support that.
