As y'all may know more than half my 40k armies are repurposed fantasy models.

Chaos Warriors as Gold Space Marines.

Empire Militia as IG

Zombie/Old Chaos warriors as Plague Marines

And soon Plague Monks as Adeptus Mech troopers.

Anyone seen a good 40k use for the plastic wood elfs?

Tanith First and Only, or any light infantry guard, just use the bodies and legs of the woodelves and replace the arms with the cadian arms

Angron- crushing the theme and fluff of armies one horde at a time.

I've seen a couple genestealer/dryad hybrids. There's a interesting potential there.

Yeah, Alaitoc is the obvious. But light infantry guard also makes a lot of sense, especially with chameleoline cloaks. If the Jungle fighters rules are still usable that would be cool.

Kroot Mercs? They're woodsy, but you'd need lots of conversions. Warhawk Riders for vultures, Treemen for Krootox or Gnarlocks?

Infiltrating cultists? Of...Tzeentch? Does anybody remember that WHFB special character from the 5th edition supplement, Champions of Chaos; who was a Tzeentch champion, and everywhere he walked new life would grow and bloom and die in moments? That's the aspect of Tzeentch I'm thinking of. The wild change of life.

Or an Inquisitorial army where the whole army is made of assassins (not RAW assassins of course, but fluffwise). Like when an Inquisitor needs to take out the entire population of a settlement in a night and he wants to do it with stealth. It would be kind of like a Skaven Clan Eshin army. I guess the rules way to do it would be a DH or WH army with inducted guard or something. I'm not entirely sure how you'd go about making the list. Inquisitor + Officio Assassinorum assassin + 2 squads of death cultists + inducted infiltrating SM scouts? I don't know...

I'm voting for Exodites. The archer models would make sweet Exodites with the right weapon swaps. The glade riders would make sweet dino riders with the addition of the old metal cold ones. Make sure you include lots of subtle, or even overt if you do it right, tech-bitz to the models. Just because they're Exodites doesn't mean they're feral!

Another thought is Harlequins. All those leaping/floating dudes just scream Harlequins. Some putty to their faces (or crazy paint) and you're good-to-go.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Slanneshi cutlists might work... but right now with rumors of harlis being in the next codex...

HARLIS IT IS!

Now if only my rich uncle would fly me back to NY for free so I could get a tooth filled.

Hmmm...
