This is on the rarely if ever used Ejection system for the Tau.

It says your character is reduced by such and such stats if he is ejected, and he also loses his ARMOR SAVE. Well, if you gave him a shield generator as well, he would have a 4+ invulnerable still, as he doesn't lose in invuln, just his armor save. Is this correct?

No as he does lose the shield generator. If you lose the wargear giving you the save, you lose the save.

Yeah, the key here is it says that he is 'equipped with a pule pistol only' after ejecting, so all other gear (along with its benefits) would be lost.
