Walkers are considered vehicles and in almost every respect infantry.

How does Waaarg affect a deff dread or kill kan, if at all?

Can a deff dread, kill kan or any walker ever hold an objective?

WAAAGH! doesnt effect either of them because they do not have the WAAAGH rule under special rules. And they also cannot hold objectives, even the BigMek troops choice Dreds, simply because vehicles cannot hold objectives.

They are not considered Infantry in any way. They MOVE (for the most part) in the same way as infantry, per page 72.

"Vehicle" and "Infantry" are two distinct types of unit, as defined on p.4-5.

A rule (like Waaagh) which applies only to Infantry does not apply to any other type of unit.

As for holding objectives, you want page 90. Sadly, neither Kans nor any other walker (at least at present) can hold objectives, although any unit can contest an objective.

Only troops can hold objectives, and only if there are no other specific rules stating otherwise in their respective codex.

Deff dreads and killa Kans are not troop choices. They can't hold objectives.

And I don't recall a single codex in which a walker is listed as troop choices or count as troop choices.

Cowboy, Orks can take a Deff Dread as a Troops unit if they have a Big Mek. Which is why the question usually comes up.

But he's still prevented from being a scoring unit by the rules on page 90.

Yeah, Ravenwing Landspeeders in an army led by Sammael are the only vehicle which can presently count as a scoring unit, due to the specific wording in the DA codex.

They arn't affected by Waaagh! because Waaagh! isn't under their special rules.

Isn't a Falcon full of Dire avengers also scoring?

The Falcon isn't, the Troop choice loaded in it is a scoring unit.

Earlier printings of the Ork codex mistakenly had Waaagh listed as a special rule under several units which couldn't make use of it.

No. The Dire Avengers are scoring. When people talk about scoring Falcons they're just using sloppy and inaccurate shorthand.

Oh, I see. Thanks for claryfying. I've only ever seen it on here as things like "load the falcon with DA's to make it scoring".

I didn't realise that the "scoring" tank was just a delivery system for an actual scoring unit.

No problem! Page 90 (last sentence) is where they explicitly explain how to handle a scoring unit in a transport in relation to objectives.
